When I was young, I always wished to live in that time. One could say I was fascinated by it. With years, I forgot about it but when Medieval stores started to appear in nearby shopping centres, something in me woke up. At first, I bought alot of clothing there, but as a dress rarely costs under 200$ and a skirt 100$, to have a good of choice of clothing you must either work in the store or be rich enough to buy all you want. Someone (who shares this closet with me) told me all the pieces were easy to make and she told me so so many times that I have decided to give it a try. I have to admit, sometimes I still buy clothing there, but nothing which costs over 80$ like a dress because I like to choose the fabrics and create my own model now.

To really get into the Medieval mood, I am learning medieval fencing and also hope to learn archery in the beginning of next spring. I also have a subscription to a medieval magazine at home to know when activities are happening. I really wish to join a group one day. Medieval clothing is not a costume to me and I like to wear it when I’m not working because I have to wear a uniform there (I’m a pastry chef).

What I like most of that era is not only the clothing but the way people lived, no car or firearm. A simple life, far away from what we have today.
