| *James Whitis Bulloch Born 1788/1795 in N.C.?? Death: 29 Sept.1859 married to Nancy Horton born 1800 (she was the daughter of Susannah "Sukey" (Purnell) Horton and Julius Horton and sister of Samuel Horton) *Notes for James W. Bulloch: Book: "Two Centuries in East Texas" by George W. Crockett has James Whitis Bulloch fought in 1812 at Battle of New Orlenes with Andrew Jackson. He was the commander of Citizen forces that attached and routed the Mexican forces at Nacagdoches in August 2nd 1832. Colonel Bulloch led the first Mexican troups in the Texas War for independence. Nancy Horton and James Whitis Bulloch had 11 children. Nancy died Sept. 7th 1854 and James married Sylvia Brunet.
