Jay Mohr opened the show by handing out cash - $50,000 to be exact. The team with the most total votes would be awarded all of that prize money. Jay announced that the winning team was Season 2 - making them undefeated!
Next, Jay created some traditional reality TV tension by announcing that either Tere Joyce or Sean Kent from Season 1 would be eliminated along with either Kathleen Madigan or Corey Holcomb from Season 2. But Jay was going to keep us in suspense.
Then, each team got to decide which four of their comics would face off against the competition. After much strategizing, Season 1 put up Ralphie May, Tess, Rob Cantrell and Rich Vos. Season 2 brought out Alonzo Bodden, Tammy Pescatelli, Gary Gulman and Jay London. All gave strong performances.
Finally, it was time for the eliminations. Jay announced that Tere Joyce and Corey Holcomb had received the least number of votes on their respective teams and so, they were eliminated. |
