The evening began with the announcement that Season 2 had won the $50,000 weekly prize money - again. The victory made it five in a row and not even Season 1 seemed surprised.

Next, Jay Mohr brought out the six comics who had performed the previous week: Dat Phan, Ralphie May and Dave Mordal from Season 1, along with John Heffron, Kathleen Madigan and Jay London from Season 2. Only one comic from each season would move on - four would be eliminated at the end of the show.

Then, with Roastmaster Jeffrey Ross at the podium, the roasting of host Jay Mohr began. First Jeffrey set his sites on Jay and turned up the heat. Next, special guest Triumph the Insult Comic Dog focused his trademark taunts at Jay, as well as the other comics. Then, Geoff Brown, Tess and Rich Vos from Season 1 and Alonzo Bodden, Gary Gulman and Todd Glass from Season 2 took their shots at Jay - and each other. During the night, Triumph interjected and insulted, just as a good insult comic dog should.

After taking all the lashings, Jay Mohr resumed his hosting duties and announced that Kathleen Madigan, Dat Phan, Jay London and Ralphie May hadn't received enough votes and were eliminated. That meant that the top vote-getters from each team, Dave Mordal and John Heffron, would move on.
