The evening opened with Season 2 again taking the weekly $50,000 prize money for the most total votes. The team of comics from the second season closed out the competition undefeated.
Next, Jay Mohr announced that America had spoken and Geoff Brown, Todd Glass, Tess and Gary Gulman were eliminated. That made the Final Four Dave Mordal, John Heffron, Alonzo Bodden and Rich Vos, one of whom would earn the title of Last Comic Standing and $250,000 -- all based on his next performance. Each comic then took to the stage for his final set. It no longer mattered who came from which season - it was now comic versus comic. After four great performances, the voting lines opened and the country decided.
