| Season 2 struck again. Making it four for four, the comics from the second season took home the $50,000 weekly prize money once more. Season 1 could only hope that things would change. Jay Mohr then announced that either Sean Kent or Geoff Brown from Season 1 would be eliminated along with either Todd Glass or ANT from Season 2. But everyone would have to wait until the end of the show to learn the results. Next, Jay Mohr revealed the first twist of the evening - guest comics Louie Anderson and Carrot Top would perform. Louie Anderson would perform as an honorary member of Season 1, while Carrot Top would hit the stage on behalf of Season 2. This meant that a vote for Louie Anderson would count toward the vote total of Season 1, while a vote for Carrot Top would increase the vote count for Season 2. Another twist greeted the comics when they entered their war rooms. There they learned that each team had to choose three comics to perform that night. (Those that did not get chosen would perform the next week at a roast for Jay Mohr). The two comics from each team who received the least number of votes would be eliminated. After much planning (and mocking of opposing teams) the comics made their choices. Dave Mordal, Dat Phan and Ralphie May from Season 1 took to the stage. Kathleen Madigan, John Heffron and Jay London from Season 2 each did a set. The special guest comics, Louie Anderson and Carrot Top, rounded out the performances. Finally, it was time for the eliminations. Jay Mohr announced that Sean Kent and ANT had received the least number of votes on their teams and so, they were eliminated. |
