Caring for your budgie

Budgies are a very social animal, and they love being the social attention of the house. I know I DO! :D

First time Home

When you bring your wonderful pet from home, be sure to cover the cage half-way to give them a sense of security. I sure appreciated it. Even though that you might want to play with your brand new pet, please give your budgie about 5 days to get accustomed to his/her surroundings. Remember that not all budgies are friendly at first sight, and may bite.

Toys

I know that I LOVE mirrors, but my owner does not allow me to have one. She thinks that I will bond with the budgie inside the glass. I'm actually sorta glad that she did that, she is only looking out for my best interest.
I LOVE nibbling on my toys. Some great ones are ones I can hang from, or ones that make noises. Like those bells.

Environment

You know how humans get hot and they turn on that thing called AC/heater and it blows air right into the room? Well us budgies are not very good with those. They can make us feel cold, and you humans need to make sure that we do not have contact with them.
Things like hairspray, body spray, air fresheners, window cleaners, and pesticites can KILL US! Please be cautious.
