Well, the new year is here! I do hope you have made Speed Year Resolutions. I have made a few that I would like to share with you:

1. I will buy any and all Speed merchandise that comes out.
2. I will continue to think only about Speed; day, night, or while unconcious.
3. I will continue to update Speed Tengoku to draw more people into the world of Speed; with new followers, I can rule the world! MUHAHAHAHA!!! *did I just say that aloud?* ^_^;
4. I will order more copies of Moment from CDJapan until I get all three flipbooks.
5. I will sell my left arm so I can afford Speed's Configuration album; like I needed that arm...it didn't help me write, eat, or scratch my nose.
6. I will cruise the web during my computer science classes to find cool new Speed sites.
7. Savings account? What savings account?
8. I will call Capital One to change my credit limit to 'infinity and beyond'.

How about a few kind words from an English speaking Speed fan on the topic regarding a bunch of Japanese Speed fans on the Japanese Speed ML?

Well, Wei (member of the English Speed ML), has taken a few seconds of his time to come up with the following:

What they usually talk about: 
1: How to make better mpegs, and then hide them. :(
2: What day SPEED is coming on TV.
3: whinning about the slow download and their crappy internet connection
4: whinning about the weather. (j/k)
well.. It doesn't seem to me that they care about SPEED as much as we do..

Before you write to me about how upset you are regarding these comments about the Japanese Speed fans, note the following things:

1. It is not aimed at *all* Japanese Speed fans
   Just the few that are on the Japanese Speed ML, most notably the *owner* of the ML.
2. Wei wrote this, not me. v(^_^)v
3. It's really just a joke; to ease our pain.
4. There are still cool Japanese Speed fans that do not have ID / PW sites.

The reason why Wei (and a lot of other Speed fans outside of Japan) feels this way is because some months ago, they were posting sites for Speed videos on the Japanese Speed ML. Anyway, they somehow got the idea that we 'foreigners' were the cause for the extremely poor trasnfer rates (it's not the case because even if I tried DLing when it was 2am in Japan, the rates were still slow). So, in order to try and get better rates (hahahahaha) they started putting up ID / PW schemes. The thing is, they posted the updated ID / PWs on the Japanese Speed MLs. So I, having a lot of common sense, joined the Japanese Speed ML. For a while, it went okay...updates came and went and everyone got what they wanted, videos. *BUT*, the Japanese Speed fans were still complaining about poor trasnfer rates. So the owner of the Japanese Speed ML decided to make it his 'duty' to all the Japanese Speed fans to ban all free e-mail accounts. Of course, he didn't stop there, I subscribed using my University account and was still removed so I guess it was selective deleting. Anyway, there are still some folks subcribed to the Japanese Speed ML, but they say IDs and PWs are not posted anymore; which leads me to believe they have a secret underground ML for those.

Yes, what a lovely story, huh? I'm trying to get my best friend to draw for me because I want to make this into a little manga that we can send to Speed to let them know the troubles their foreign fans go through to see them perform. ^_^;;;

This just in, I got word that there might be another site opening up to offer videos. No, this is not a Japaense site with IDs and PWs, it's an English site run by a fellow Speed fan. No more details can be given at the moment, but rest assured, I'll keep you up to date. Okay, make that two sites, but you'll have to wait a while for up-to-date news and / or confirmation. ^_^;;; Is it an excuse to keep you folks visting Speed Tengoku? Dunno, sources say it's not a ploy, but who knows... =D

You want to know my take on the situation? Well, I think it defies common sense because of the following reasons:

• Who has access to these shows (the videos, if you didn't know, are of music show appearances and just about anything where Speed appeared) on TV?
  
  The Japanese fans.
  
  
• Who was complaining about the poor transfer rates?
  
  The Japanese fans.
  
  
• Who benefits from the use of ID / PW sites?
  
  The Japanese fans.
  
  
• Who does *not* have access to these shows on TV?
  
  The Foreign fans.
  
  
• Who does *not* benefit from the use of ID / PW sites?
  
  The Foreign fans.
  
  

See, they want to keep the shows they can see on TV, for themselves and not share with foreign fans. I don't know if I would call them true fans; selfish, yes. But, you have to remember that not all Japanese Speed fans are selfish. It's a rather small group (because I doubt the Japanese Speed ML has *that* many members; well, a lot are just lurkers because the majority of the posts were always from the same lamers). So please do not get angered at every Japanese Speed fan. But, if you come across a few of the lamers below, be sure to tell them what you think, even if they don't understand English or whatever language you care to write them in! ^_^

Well, it had to happen sooner or later! I've setup the English Speed ML, speed-chat. Now open thanks to the folks over at eGroups. Now there are two Speed MLs, a Japanese and an English one.

Well, for those of you who don't want to visit my page daily to see if it's been updated can now join the Speed Tengoku Update ML. Everytime (hopefully) that I update Speed Tengoku (whether it be cosmetic, news, etc.), I will inform people by posting either a summary of what has been updated / changed or I will post my "whatsnew.htm" file directly or just the latest update.
