Well, back with anohter update and this time it's a good one. =) Finally got more news on Speed's 10th single release! It seems that Eriko with Crunch's 2nd song is going to be a c/w song for Breakin' out to the morning. Good and bad news if you ask me. Good that we get it about a month earlier than expected, but bad in the sense that we won't get it as a separate release from Speed's singles. Well, Breakin' out to the morning is a maxi-single, so that's news! Check out the Discography page for more information.

Okay, so the roll out of the Speed Tengoku Logo Gallery wasn't exactly as smooth as it should have been, but give me a break! =D Well, I tried to fix the many broken links on the page so hopefully now you can view the logos without cringing at those broken link icons. Also, I've gotten rid of the MIDI playing since I doubt anyone is going to spend more than a few seconds looking at the logos anyway... ^_^ Check out the Speed Tengoku Logo Gallery!
Okay, it took me long enough, but I have finally setup a Speed Bulletin Board for all my 5 or so loyal visitors can post and read all about Speed on the web! Well, technically it's 8 days old (I set it up on April 10, 1999), but I wanted to wait until my next update to open it up to the general public; note: that just means I was too lazy / busy (whatever you want to call it) to get another update out of the door one day after posting an update. ^_^;;;

Yep, along with the news comes an updated Discography page. Some updates include additions to the singles as well as some information on the Soundtrack for Eri and Hitoe's drama, LxIxVxE. Be sure to read the notes for all the updated singles and albums. =) Also, I've recently acquired (bought) the Avex Asia / Taiwan releases of Starting Over and Rise. Why? Well, because they come with a special goody! =) Yes, I own the Toy's Factory releases, but I had to get these two for my collection! I'll hopefully be able to get a scan of the boxes and goodies. Oh, these are officially licensed releases and are *not* pirate / bootleg versions like the other ones I have seen that include the karaoke tracks for some of the songs. Well, it's nothing really big so don't get too excited! ^_^;;; Just added yet another ranking page to Speed Tengoku. This time, it is the Hey! Hey! Hey! Music Champ Perfect Ranking page. Basically, when a new episode of Hey! Hey! Hey! Music Champ airs (note that NGN delays our broadcasts by 1-2 months!!!), I'll add whatever ranking Speed's songs achieve (if they are on the charts...if not, I won't put anything ^_^). Yeah, I said it wasn't too great...hey, at least I warned you before you clicked on the link... Check out the Perfect Ranking page for the latest...err...1-2 month old rankings from Hey! Hey! Hey! Music Champ. Well, at least you can use it for their history if you're working on a Speed page and want to include a complete history of all their rankings. ^_^;;;
Also, I've changed the links that used to point to the Oricon Ranking page. Now you click on the link to the generic ranking page; where you then choose to either go to the Oricon or Perfect Ranking pages.
Yeah, another pretty boring update to Speed Tengoku, but at least now you folks wanting to link to my page can just copy and paste the code directly from the main page without having to edit it by hand. =D Go to the Main page to see the updated HTML tags to use.

Well, there is / was a minor bug with my HTML code for the Oricon Ranking page. I forgot to add the part that makes a link load on the top of the page so as not to just show up in one of the frames. I have now fixed it so when you click on a link (for one of the other pages of Speed Tengoku), the link will load in the entire window and the frames will disappear (if the link is not a frames page; which most of my pages are not).

Well, finally got to updating the page again! Well, it's not like I didn't want to or anything like that, I was just busy! Real busy! So busy that I didn't post my usualy daily dose of Speed goodness on the Speed-chat ML for a few days in February!!! Yeah, scary thought, eh? Me not posting...what's up with that!? Well, I have managaed to get some PRECIOUS TIME away from my busy schedule to work on the page! ^_^;;;
Among the many new and improved features in this version of Speed Tengoku, I have changed the main page. Gone are the fireworks (even the one that had that square around it!!! Hahahaha...didn't notice it...and when I did, I thought it was too much hassle to fix it since it was an animated gif...heck, I don't even have an animated gif program to extract the individual frames anyway so...^_^;;;). In place is a new logo! Check it out! I hope you like it! Didn't take too long to make it, but I think it looks nice. =D

Well, Speed is popular and when you're popular, companies will use that popularity to sell everything under the sun! I'm talking about phone cards, posters, trading cards, fans, straps, keychain rings, and everything else you can think of! With all these neat little Speed goodies out there, I thought I would finally add a Speed Goods page to Speed Tengoku! Well, it's almost March and I was supposed to be completely done with the translation of the Andromedia script. Well, as with all appointments / dates, they were meant to be broken! ^_^; Anyway, I am still working on it, but I have decided to release a beta version of the script to the fans to tide you over until I can get the entire thing done. Well, Tekwar e-mailed me saying that he was going to quit making copies because a few bad apples were messing with him, so I agreed to free him from this tedious task. I have also been able to get another HIFI Stereo VCR so I can now make copies. So I am now taking over the copying of the Speed Special. Do not e-mail Tekwar regarding the Speed Special! I am now making the copies. Also, with the price increases of the USPS, I have to increase the price to make up for these raises. As you can see, folks in the US have just a small increase of $.55 to bring the total to $5.55. Check out the Special Offers page for more information!
Yeah, there were broken links and some other weird things going on with the Oricon page. Well, I've completely redone the entire page so it now uses frames, has more than just links to the singles and album rankings (both English and Japanese versions); namely, karaoke, video sales, video rentals, and daily rankings. Check out the OAS on the Speed Link page!
Well, guess what? Seems RIMIX has also been dropped from the upcoming releases. Good news and bad news if you ask me. The obvious bad news is that we won't get it, but the good news is that this means Hiromasa Ijichi and the other folks over at Toy's Factory are concentrating on Speed first and solo projects second.

I've also put up my prediction for a second video clips collection for Speed. Once Winter Emotion (or whatever it's going to be called), Taka and Hitoe-chan's solo maxi-single, comes out, they should have enough videos to do a video clip collection. Well, I have finally included a section that almost every page should have, a profile page! Sure, this is the section that should have been up first, but I have taken the off-beat path. What can I say, the entire life of Speed Tengoku has been one of oddity; it started off as being just a one-page format with just some cool stuff for fellow Speed fans to DL and then exploded into a multi-page layout and has grown ever since! ^_^; Well, I won't keep you here much longer, please check out the Profile page!

Well, guess what? Much like the incident with the song "Kokke tisshu Dreamin", we have another change that doesn't look good. Seems Winter Emotion is now on the 'unknown' list. Yep, you read right, Winter Emotion seems to have vanished into thin air!!!
Instead of Winter Emotion, it appears we are going to get Precious Time. It's not going to be a maxi-single, and it will not contain Taka and Hitoe-chan's solos either!!! =(

Okay, those of you using Internet Explorer may have come across the echo problem with the MIDIs; maybe not all of you, but at least on my computer, it would echo (I guess IE would play the embedded MIDI as well as use the MIDI plug-in). I've deleted the embedded MIDI so you should now hear the MIDIs only once and not twice...but hearing Speed twice as much is great, isn't it? ^_^; Okay, maybe not. That's pretty much it... oh, I *did* change the popping fireworks WAV file on the main page to a MIDI of All My True Love! =D

Okay, I have some good news and some bad news regarding newsgroups. First the good news. I came across one newsgroup that focuses on Speed. Bad news is that those of you who do not speak or read a lick of Japanese will find it pretty much useless. Well, if you're just curious or understand Japanese, please check out the Speed Internet Resource page for more information.
Well, another year has come and gone! Of course, it's sad to see 1998 go, but look at it this way...as soon as we say goodbye, we can say hello to the Speed goodies that are coming. What Speed goodies? Well, only their Rise concert video, Hitoe and Taka-chan's solo maxi-single, Configuration, RIMIX...oh my goodness, we need to save up some money!
As you may be able to tell, I have only updated the main page...to make it more New Year-ish...you know, fireworks, stuff like that. Note: Use Internet Explorer to get some background sound that definitely adds to the ambience! ^_^; It might get a bit hectic with all the darn animated gifs, but if you have the power, go ahead and try it out...

Well, Speed Tengoku grows and grows...where it'll stop, no one knows! ^o^ Hoohoohoo Anyway, the new section is called the Speed Internet Resource page and it contains links and information regarding IRC Channels, Online Chatrooms, Webrings, and basically anything else that pertains to Speed, though Webpage links will remain on the links page.
I've changed the Speed Tengoku logo...yes, I'm very sad to remove the very cool AMTL logo I had up (especially since they were wearing my favorite color, blue! ^_^;), but the new one is just as good, don't you agree? =D Besides it's still AMTL...just a different picture. Hehehe

Well, CDJapan came through and delivered my Andromedia two days before Christmas! Earlier than I expected! See the information on Andromedia on the discography page. I've written more detailed descriptions of the Andromedia first press package. Hopefully I'll be able to get some scans up if Tako-chan doesn't get them done first. ^_^;

PHOTOBOOKS!!! Yes, I've added information on Speed's photobooks seeing as how it's hard to come by on most Speed sites. There might be some that include information on the photobooks like the ISBN #, but I have yet to come across a page that does.
