FISCHER`S

This species has increased its popularity in the last years, due to the
appearance of new mutations. Fischer`s
lovebirds have a lot of similarities with the personata ones, but they can
differentiate each other without any problem by means of their phenotype.
Its size is around 16cm and its weight around 46 and 52g. They do not show
sexual dimorphism.
They are easy to breed and they build a very elaborated nest. Both the hen
and the cock carry materials to the nest in the beak, but the hen is the
one that builds it.
The egg-laying is around 6 eggs and the incubation period lasts 22 days.
The chicks leave the nest after approximately 6 weeks.
