Spotted Orange Leaf Beetle - ? Paropsisterna sp.

This page contains pictures and information about Spotted Orange Leaf beetles that we found in the Brisbane area, Queensland, Australia.

Body length 7mm
 
This Leaf Beetle look very similar to the I-Mark Leaf Beetle. When look very carefully, we believe they are difference species. They may just mimic each other. Pictures were taken in Alexandra Hill during early summer.

The beetle is bright orange in colour with dark patterns.

We also found the Leaf Beetle in Karawatha Forest during mid summer. It was on the new shot of a young gum tree.

The beetle was running away in the stem when we took its picture. We looked around and did not find any larvae or eggs on the plant.
