Notice: As of 1 Jan 2001 Geocities has changed the way Guestbooks on their sites work. Here's how things need to be done now:

1: Leave SHORT Message - the new Guestbook will allow you to type in any length message yet will only save the first 256 characters (about 3 lines) - it will discard anything additional!!! If your message will fit within this limit then sign the new-style Guestbook.

2: Leave LONGER Message - If you would like to leave a longer message, then you can send it to me via E-mail and I will post it here.

Hi Joe,
Really liked your website....still have a few questions whenever you have time to answer them?
1. Is there a shuttle from the airport to the hotel or do we need to call a cab?
2. Do you have any other info about the dolphin swimming, and other trips like conch shell dives and glass bottom boat rides? Like prices and times?
3. We are going in early January? Have you ever been there then? How is the weather?
4. How far are we from the downtown shopping area?
Thanks so much,
Doug

I came across your site through a news group. We are going to fortuna on 05/06/01 where our daughter is getting married so the info you have provided will be very useful. You look like you had a good time there. Regards Roland Poyzer Winslow, England

Below someone posted a message about the snorkeling not bing offered at CVF anymore or in the future? Is that true? Should we bring our own snorkeling equip? Please advise!

I will be visiting CVF 18-6 to 4-7 with wedding party of 16 adults. Mixed concerns after looking at details on Net. Please, somebody elevate my concerns. P.S were all Scottish !!!

The following is a transcript of an e-mail we received from someone that we'd like to post in your guestbook - THANKS
wine - do you know if it is served during the day at the bars? im not a big drinker, but when i drink, i like white wine, but not just at meals. i would like to have a glass or two before dinner, for instance.
Yes, they have a house white wine that is very good - no other varieties (also a house red which i thought was bitter)
were the restaurants smoky at all? we are not smokers, and we found this to be a problem in the DR. it might be in cuba, also.
We don't like smoke either - it wasn't an issue
was any fish or seafood served at the restaurants? we are big fans of both.
They served a good white fish at the buffet, one night. But make sure to get reservations (1st thing in the morning) for the Tratoria Restaurant. They have an awesome lobster tail, but you have to pay for it. I had a seafood pasta dish that was also very good. You have to go to this restaurant because you will get sick of the buffet for breakfast & then lunch... it was also nice to get served in a quiet atmosphere.
have you stayed at any other resorts that you are comparing it to? where do you live? we are in toronto.
We are from Connecticut, this was our first trip to Bahamas. We went to Acapulco last year & we liked it better, but at Club Fortuna you will not have anyone harrassing you to buy stuff. There are so many other places to go, we probably wouldn't go back there.
Any suggestions for our next years trip????
Make sure to sneak some food out of the buffet for the cat that lives on the grounds - she has probably had her kittens by now. One thing we didn't like was that there were kids everywhere!!!!! When you first get there, a pushy woman will try to get you to go to a time-share meeting. Once we said no, we were black listed by some of the staff. Make sure you tip the bartenders if you want a good drink - they say there is no tipping, but if you tip you'll get a real glass rather than a plastic cup & they will serve you quicker. THE WALLS ARE THIN!!! The first night the FAMILY next door to us had a new born who woke up every 2 hours & so did we! Luckily they checked out the next day, but then a horny couple checked in... Overall it was very nice - the beach, the pool etc.
Have fun,
P&E

We have decided on CVF and must make final arangements day after tomorrow. Can you tell me if there is a more desirable section (within the garden view catagory) that I should ask for, or are the different sections all the same.

My wife and I will be staying at Club Fortuna June 8 to June 12. We are wondering about transportation to and from the airport in Freeport. Please let us know. We stayed at Club Viva Vallarta last Thanksgiving, with three of our kids and highly recommend staying there to anyone going to Puerto Vallarta area.
Thanks

We are going to Club Fortuna on 22 May with two friends and our 10 and 15 year old girls, really excited and looking at the messages daily - are there any bugs which need dealing with ? Also, I have read about the resident stingray, are there any other possible problem fish we should know about ?
Thanks

Me and my soon to be husband plan on visiting the club this November for our honeymoon, actually around Thanksgiving. Is this a good time to visit the Bahamas? Is the club a good place to go for our honeymoon? We think we will be ok with the buffet style food and even the taxis rides but a little concerned about making this a wonderful experience. This is the only club on the island that was all inclusive and within our time share option. Personnally speaking do you think we should cancel and go somewhere else or just enjoy the fact that we are young and in love?

Hi Joe --
I was looking at one of the forums your site is linked to and read something about snorkeling equipment being phased out @ Club Fortuna. Do you know if this accurate? We are going in a couple of weeks and the snorkeling is one of the main reasons we chose this resort. Appreciate anything you can tell me about this.
Thanks - Kathy N.

A group of parents were thinking of giving a trip to club fortuna to our children for high school graduation. They would be going mid june 2001. All of them are 18 but there was some concern of the following: transportation to shopping and casinos (especially at night to discos) what is the cost for taxis and is it safe? do many kids in this age group (18-22) stay here? Or is it more geared toward families! Thank you so much for any information you can provide before we make our decision on where to stay!

Thanks for the site. I enjoyed your presentation and I might be going to Club Fortuna.

Your web site is great! I'm thinking of trading my timeshare in Cancun to go to club fortuna, but my timeshare's website says that unless I get a one-bedroom (which isn't currently available), the sleeping accomodations are only a queen size murphy bed. This is a problem as we will have our young child with us. Everything I've seen on the internet says that the rooms have two queen beds. Do you know if the timeshare rooms are different from the regular rooms? Thanks!

How old does a child need to be to participate in the kids club? Are there babysitting services available in addition to the kids club (ie. in-room, evenings)? Also, how much extra is scuba diving (dive only, not lessons)?

4/22/01 by Ashley Waddell amwdrs26@hotmail.com
I was wondering how much it cost to scuba dive at club fortuna if you are already certified? I couldn't reach the 3rd part of the brochure on-line. I am going in May so if I could recieve an answer ASAP it would be appreciated!

We are leaving on the 19th for Club Viva Fortuna!! Can't wait!! This web-site is awesome - it's got us really psyched for this vacation!! The resort seems perfect...Bahamas here we come!!!

Great site! My husband and I are going in August. However, we have no idea about transporation once we get there. When I clicked on the transporation section of your site, it said it was unavailable. Are taxi's expensive? What kind of transportation is available from airport to resort? Please send me a quick line to let me know. I see your e-mail is probably overwhelming but would love to hear from you. thank you Tracy
