Hyper Dimension
This is one of the Dragonball Z Fighting games ever. Once you play this game you cannot stop! There are 4 different modes you can play in. The is Story mode where you fight against Frieza, Perfect Cell, Mr.Boo, and Kid Boo. You fight as during Story Mode as Piccolo, SSJ 2 Goku, Majin Vegeta, Mr. Boo, and if you go to the bonus battles Mystic Gohan Between every battle it tells what happen that preludes to the next battle. The characters even swear in this game either if they get beat or they die. Every different villian is stronger than the last. If you die Kirllian will come up on the screen and offer you aa Senzu bean which he has three of. That means your have three lives and if die more than three times then it is game over and you will have to start from the begining. After you beat Kid Boo you get to fight in Bonus Battles. The most you can fight in is 3 and it is detirmined on how many Senzu Beans(Lives) you used up. If you didn’t use up any then you get to fight all 3 battles if you remain perfect through the whole story mode. The bonus fighters are in this order Gotenks, Goku, and Vegetto. Next there is versus mode where you can fight against your friends or the computer. You can fight as SSJ2 Goku, Majin Vegeta, SSJ3 Gotenks, Mystic Gohan, SSJ2 Vegetto, Piccolo, Mr. Boo, Kid Boo, Frieza, and Perfect Cell. There is also tournament mode where you can play up to 8 players to see who is the ultimate champion! This game is one of the best games I have ever played. It has Mr. Boo turning people into candy, Vegeta using his Final Flash, Goku telporting behind the enemy for a sneak attack, and Vegetto with no weakness at all. This game easily deserves a 10/10
Super Butoden
No offense but this game sucks. This game makes pong look like the greatest game of all time. First of all you can’t raise your ki at all, you have to wait about 5 minutes until it is up at full to do any super moves. The only thing that is good about this game is the characters and levels and that is it. The characters are Goku, Piccolo, Vegeta, Frieza, Android 16, Android 17, Android 20, Imperfect Cell (1st stage), SSJ Trunks, SSJ Vegeta, SSJ Gohan, SSJ Goku, and Perfect Cell. To get the bonus characters restart the game and at the intro hold down all the buttons and rotate the D-Pad 360°. Story mode goes from where you fight Piccolo in the World Tournament to the Cell Games. You also have tournament mode and versus mode and thats about it. My rating for this game would be really bad if they didn’t add the Secret characters and levels, and this gameled up to Super Boutoden 2. This game get a 4/10.
Super Butoden 2
This game is clearly what you call old school. Besides Hyper Dimension this is the 2nd best Dragonball Z game I ever played. The story mode is sweet and it takes off during the Cell Games where you have 10 days to train withVegeta, Goku, Trunks, or Piccolo. Then you fight Cell and if you lose you get to fight Cell Jr. After that the story takes you to the Bojack movie where Bojack is tring to find all the Dragonballs and you have to find them to defeat him. Once you get 4 the next place you go you have to fight Zangya one of Bojack’s henchmen. Once you defeat her you have to fight Bojack. After that story mode is over and you are done. You can be four characters SSJ2 Gohan, SSJ Vegeta, SSJ Trunks, and Piccolo. There is also Versus Mode and Tournament Mode. In Versus Mode You could be Gohan, Vegeta, Trunks, Piccolo, Cell, Cell Jr., Zangya, and Bojack. You can also be Goku and Broli if put in a code where you see Goku flying to Kami’s Place. The code is Up, X, Down, B, L-button, Y, R-button, A. Also in this game you could raise your ki for super movers by holding the B and the Y button together at the same time and then fire goes around the character. Overall this is a great game but not as great as Hyper Dimension. This game gets a 9/10.
Super Butoden 3
This game would be the best Super Boutoden game of all time but there is one problem with it. NO STORY MODE!! It seems that when whoever created this game must have been sleeping or something else and forgot the best thing in Super Boutoden 2 was Story Mode. But forget the rest of this game is sweet. In Versus Mode you can be SSJ2 Goku, Goten, Little Trunks, SSJ2 Majin Vegeta, SSJ2 Gohan, Kaioshin, Mr. Boo, Dabura, and Android 18. You can also put in a code to get Future Trunks and to do that at the intro when Majin Vegeta’s Face turns into Goku’s face, when it turns into Goku’s face put in the code Up, X, Down, B, L-button, Y, R-button, A. When you enter this code you should hear a chime. The other mode is of course is Tournament Mode. That is about it of the game and this would have gotten 10/10 but I afriad without Story Mode this game has not backbone. But this game is perfect for multiplayer so it get a 7/10.
Legend of a Super Saiya-Jin
This is one of the best rpgs I have ever played. I won’t go into detail with this game because I want you to find out. You play as Gohan, Vegeta, Goku, Piccolo, Krillian, Tien, Chaozu, and Yamcha. The rest of the story you will have to find out. I rate this game a 10/10.
Super Goku Den 2
This game was an okay game. Most of the time you spend talking to people and little fighting. When you do fight you either fight as Goku or Gohan. Also beating your opponent is pretty easy because all you have to do is use a super move(Kamehameha wave) every time. You have to raise your ki by holding the L and R buttons. Pretty much if you do this you will win every battle. The story first takes place at the 23rd World Tournament were you have to fight Chichi, Tien, and Piccolo at the end. Then the story goes where you have to fight Radditz then after you beat him you go train with King Kai and Piccolo to to get ready for the Saiyans Vegeta and Nappa. After you are done training you have to fight the Saiyans. Then after that you go to Nameik where you try to find all the Dragonballs so you could wish your friends back to life. When you are on Nameik you find out about that Vegeta is there and Frieza who has a stronger power level than Vegeta is there. You fight as Goku there untill Goku arrives when the Gynu Force shows up. After that you fight Frieza and Goku becomes a Super Saiyan after Frieza kills Krillian. Then you fight Frieza who is really easy if you use my stratagy that I put earlier. Then that is it and you are done with the game. I give this game since there is not that much fighting a 6/10. But if you like games that all the characters do is talk then this is your game to get.
