Once again it's time for us to give out the awards for the best and the worst in the superhero community. 1998 was one of the most radical years that we had, with the death of the Order of Freedom and Liberty, and many of these awards are unfortunately given in memorial to the great heroes that protected us from evil. As ever a panel of writers, editors, and publishers in the journalism field decided the awards.
Superhero of the Year: Captain Infinity
Not a surprising winner, this man has saved the planet more times then any even knows.
Superteam of the Year: The Order of Freedom and Liberty
They gave their lives for all of us. What else can we say?
Supervillain of the Year: Belial
The bastard that is responsible for the death of the Order, fortunately they took this devil down with them.
Supervillain Team of the Year: Genocide
The team created by Belial. They nearly took down every hero.
Best Superhero Comic: Dirge by Grant Morrison and Bernie Wright
While we doubt that most of the stuff that happened in this comic actually ever happened to Dirge, it sure makes for interesting reading.
Best Vigilante: The Harbinger of Justice
While not a very nice guy, he gets the job done.
Most Intriguing Newcomer: Hope II
Besides being a complete babe, she has the experience of her tutor from the original order and has kept Philly under wraps since the death of Dirge.
Worst Superhero: Seeker
Is it me, or does this guy always in the hospital.
Worst Superhero Team: The Guardians of Justice
Or should I say the Order of Freedom and Justice. Who do these guys think they are anyway?
Worst Supervillain: Bulldozer
Do I need to even say anything about this loser?
Babe Superhero: Lady Blue
She's got the sexiest smile. And the rest of her...
Babe Supervillain: Sex Kitten
She may be a porn star gone bad, but I would love to be taken hostage by her.
Best Turn: Deathstroke
These guys turning good are very interesting. I wonder if it's for real.
Best Televised Battle: Genocide vs. the Order
This was one of the most awesome superhero battles I have ever seen!
Most Amusing Moment on Film: Biohazard throwing the Scientology building at the Guardians of Justice.
He nearly destroyed Hollywood, Scientology, and the Guardians in one shot. It was wonderful.

This one goes out to the entire Order of Freedom and Liberty.
