Hero Time: Millennium Corps stops Villain Team. Oakland rumble.

Last night in Oakland the Superhero team known as the Millennium Corps saved the lives of nearly 30 people who were being held hostage by the super villain group known as the Hand. The leader of the Hand, Lucifer, was attempting to sacrifice the 30 hostages in a bizarre ritual. Before the ritual was completed, and any of the hostages were killed, the Millennium Corps arrived and quickly stopped the Hand from committing its heinous act.

Star, the spokesman for the team, had this to say, "We started to investigate things when we heard that a number of people were disappearing, possibly being kidnapped. We found signs of the Hand at some of the crime scenes. Luckily my teammate, Crack Down, knew a bit about the Hand, and he was able to deduct a hide out for the villains from the clues we found and their past activities. From there, it was a race against time to get to the hostages before it was too late."

"It was a tough fight, but we managed to stop them," says Stallion. "It was our first time together as a team on a real case of this magnitude, so I think we were all a little worried. But we handled it."

On the team itself, Star had more to say, "Most of the heroes out there today are either in it for the glory or because they get some sick thrill from it. The Millennium Corps isn't here because of that. We are here for the people."
