Site Review:  SWA

Roster

Size:  28 members
Titles:  6 titles
OOC Atmosphere:  Excellent OOC environment, everyone seems to know each other and go to a personal leve.
Role-playing:  Great role-playing, it's active and has a large dice of quality in it.

Features

SWA Top 50:  Looks inactive, few sites located on it
Monthly Awards:  Nice way to acredit handlers for heir contributions.
Com's Comments:  Page didn't load up
Match types:  Gives a listing of all matches that are used in the fed when requesting match, is very useful.

Site Design

Click On Image For Full SizeNavigation:  Nice DHTML menus used wrong.  The linking should be closer together
Graphics:  A lot of nice Poser, sadly the backgrounds for the Poser are below par.  The main logo has a few problems in that the text interferes with the background.  Poser images look like they could use some arms.  All other Poser look good, but could use backgrounds.
Content:  Good bits of content, one page doesn't load up though.

Commentary

A few things.  First, I think the site itself should be accesable to 800x600.  The majority of internet users by the 1999 statistic are users of 800x600.  The site should have some form of revamp to fit into 800x600.

Props go to Flash and Poser.  Both are made extremely well.  But the problem with Poser is lack of background.  They look very plain with just a silver background.

The drop down menus seem to be a hassle.  The space in between the links make them look terrible.  Colors, bad.  Maybe switching over to a more shade oriented color like gray or light black.

Results are well written, I can't say anything wrong about them, except... align all text to the right, when in the middle my eyes have to trail through to the beginning of each sentence forcing me not wanting to read them.

I noticed one thing that this site had several RP boards, one for every event.   I don't see all of them being needed, and maybe just fussing them all into one board.  It's a hassle for role-players to have to go through several boards to check if people role-played.

Chat room links to another place, I might suggest getting an IRC client placed on the site.  That way you can host your own and you don't have to go through so many problems with load ups.

The roster section needs a bit of work on.  Bios aren't very detailed, and many of them aren't up yet.  I suggest organizing data such that it gives more interpersonal look and allows contact information.

Overall a good fed, just needs to work out a few quorks.
