Charles Lindbergh takes off from Roosevelt Field, Long Island, New York. The plane, heavily loaded with 451 gallons of fuel, clears the telephone wires at the end of the runway by only 20 feet.
Wright 1903 Flyer (December 2003)
The Wright brothers made the first sustained controlled flight with a powered heavier-than-air flying machine at  the flat sandy beach at Kitty Hawk in North Carolina.
Fokker Dr.I Dreidecker (September 2003)
Slyboots has found a Fokker Dr.I hidden from the IACC in a small abandoned hangar at an remote airfield. While repairing it he got the idea to paint it red just like von Richthofen's famous triplane. It has been on the way for over half a year now. This is the first creation I have made that had to look just like the real thing.
