Red Ruby! |
| In the Egyptian Desert Johnny
Thunder and Miss Pippin Read
find the Temple of Anubis where they want
to
study the Red Ruby. Inside the temple is a passage where Pippin steps
on
a stone marked with a Ruby. This triggers a trap door and Johnny has to
save her. Later Johnny barely escapes a giant flying barrel. At the end
of the passage they find the Red Ruby flanked by two sarcophagus'. On
the
wall there is a message saying that the Red Ruby is guarded by Pharaoh
Hotep's mummy. |
| Mr.
Hates wants the Red Ruby for himself. Together with Slyboots
he has followed the two Adventurers through the passage. They think
that
all of the booby-traps has been found, but Slyboots is almost buried in
a flood of sand. |
| While Johnny and Pippin
are examining
the Red Ruby, Mr. Hates snatches it from under their noses. The mummy
appear
from one of the sarcophagus' and fires a magic ray that makes the Red
Ruby
too hot to hold. The villains run out through the passage, thereby
setting
off another booby-trap: a giant boulder that rumbles after them all the
way out of the temple. |
| Johnny and Pippin leaves,
knowing that
with the mighty mummy around the Red Ruby is safer in the temple than
it
would be in any museum. |
