The Early Dynasties and Tribal Feuds

c. 100 000 – The first peoples began to settle in primitive settlements
c. 70 000 – The first major settlements form at Mara (at the foot of the Libran Alps), Aurora (on Lake Eos), Tethys and Europa on the Airian Sea coastline and Aqua in the far south.
c. 60 000 – As the planet warms and ice retreats there is migration to Castor and Pollux
c. 35 000 – first concrete societies as small individual tribes/kingships
c.10 000 – Tribal Wars. Last for 200 years and an eventual victory by the tribe of Mara.
c. 9750 – Wars resolved as a Monarch is crowned as autocrat over Libra with Mara (the tribal home) as the hub. The first monarch is Aeu Rjyinaei (see notes on the Aquarian language).
c. 9700 – Death of Aeu. Coronation of her daughter Aeu II. Under the new reign more tribes are consolidated under the rule but under force from Aeu’s armies.

There were dynasties of the Aeu Queens until 8054 then a change of capital to Tethys with a revolution by the Neid tribe in the Second Tribal Wars. Tethys remains the capital for 4000 years as the Neids rule in peace, a contrast to the gradually increasing oppression (from paranoia) by the Aeus. The female remains the ruler and the first Neid Queen was recorded in the histories by early scribe Larieux as Sihet Rjyinaei. However the Neids despite being peaceful were not pioneers in the arts and many records if taken were lost.

Mara continued to grow prosperously as a secondary city spawning the great minds of Aquarius. The Queen Calli Rjyinaei in 4025 decided with a growing threat of strength from the Galateans (who had split with the capital move) to re-move her capital back to the flourishing Mara but left Tethys both well defended and in negotiations for peaceful co-existence and hopeful re-unification with the Galateans. The planet continued to developed under the rule of Calli’s daughter exploiting the mines in the north and south to grow in power.
