Skyline: A full moon rises.Plot: KACL are advertising for an intern and Frasier likes Lucius, a candidate who went to Harvard. However Kirby Gardner has come to apply for the job. Frasier doesn't help Kirby as much as he should to get the job, and Frasier feels guilty for this. To make it up to him, Frasier convinces Niles to give Kirby a job tidying his library. Kirby doesn't do a very good job though, as he leaves the library in a mess. Niles is about to fire Kirby when he finds out that Kirby's girlfriend Kristy is the granddaughter of William Mulvehill, a renowned wine collector who very rarely lets people see his collection. Niles asks Kirby to see if he can use this connection to allow Niles to see the wine. Kirby does so, but soon Frasier finds out. Now the two brothers are competing against each other to win the one place on offer by buying Kirby presents. But Kirby knows this and isn't helping much as he is manipulating them into giving him more stuff. Meanwhile Martin's doctor has decided his blood pressure is too high, so Martin has to wear a monitor. Daphne suggests he watch a romantic movie to get his pressure down. Subtitles: A Mountain Out Of A Mulvehill; Rage Against The Machine. Trivia: A reference to Martin's job, as he says he has to get "ready for work." Kirby returns, and a mention of his girlfriend Kristy. There's also a mention of Brother Reynolds from the wine club (Ep 182 "Forgotten But Not Gone"). Plus Moose returns as Eddie (his son Enzo has been playing Eddie recently), and Heide Perlman, the writer for this episode, wrote for Cheers. She's also the sister of Cheers star Rhea Perlman (Carla)!!! This is also the first Frasier episode she wrote. |
