Skyline: The light at the top of the Space Needle flashes.

Plot: Lilith is in Seattle for a day. She is attending a one day conference and Frasier had agreed to meet her for breakfast, but he overslept. He calls her to apologise and invites her over for lunch, but is late back from the dentist and she leaves after agreeing to meet him later that afternoon at Cafe Nervosa.

Whilst waiting for Frasier, Lilith talks about her love life to a colleague, Nancy. Lilith gets a call - she is needed at the conference again. She leaves, and a few minutes later Frasier arrives, cross that he missed her again. Frasier spots Nancy at the counter, and they get talking. Nancy decides to set Frasier up on a date with a friend of hers - Lilith! She doesn't tell Frasier who his date will be, and is unaware he and Lilith used to be married.

That night Frasier goes to Lilith's hotel room to see her before his date. He calls Nancy from Lilith's bathroom to say he will be late, but Lilith also calls her on the other line. Nancy says her date might be cancelling, so Lilith cancels first. Now both "dateless", both Frasier and Lilith don't want to tell the other their dates cancelled. They pretend to push back their dates so they won't spend the evening alone. Later Frasier and Lilith help console a couple in the room next door, and afterwards they confess their dates cancelled on them. Frasier spends the night with Lilith watching TV and having dinner, and next morning he leaves to let her catch her flight. They say goodbye to each other and part, not as lovers but as good friends.

Meanwhile, thanks to Niles not being able to catch a banana, Martin's police gun goes off and creates bullet holes in a chair and the wall, and breaks the head off one of Frasier's statues. Martin, Niles and Daphne try to repair the damage before Frasier finds out.

Subtitles: Fix Up Mix Up; Things That Go Hump In The Night.

Where Everybody Knows Your Name: Lilith returns in what is possibly her final appearance on the show, and naturally there a couple of mentions of Frederick as well.

Roz loves......: All her dates whose names she can't remember. She's sometimes woken up in their beds the next morning and can't remember their names.

Trivia: This episode marks what is possibly the last appearance of Lilith Sternin on television, as the ending where she and Frasier say goodbye is as if we are also saying goodbye to the character. Lilith appears in Cafe Nervosa for the first time in the series, and when she and Nancy talk about their love lives, she mentions how her ex said after 6 months she was "too tightly wound" - could this be Albert from Ep 223 "Lilith Needs A Favor"? There's a mention of Kenny, as Frasier tells Lilith about his date with Ann Hodges (from Ep 239 "The Placeholder"), and mention of Mrs Richman, Frasier's neighbour who has appeared in a few episodes.
