• Once the Revolve occured, one usually wants to further Refine the Shape. Since History is still enabled we should be able to now further use our Profile Curve to shape the staff. First we will see if our History is enabled, see

Note that the history had to be enabled before you created the Revolve). Let's use our Masking features and turn off surfaces to easlily work with our Profile (Shape) Curve. See this Image

• Switch on Mask for Surfaces
• Right Click on the Profile Curve and choose Control Vertex mode to be able to select each Vertex to further Shape the Staff using History wich links the Surface to the Profile Curve until the history is deleted deleted, breaking the link. See Image

• Once you are happy or got close to my Results, we can add the Handgrip Area. Lets start with the Grip using simple Objects wich we will modify to our needs.
First under
Create
Main Header Menu Pulldown we will choose
Create > Nurbs > Torus

• Create Nurbs Torus
• Now we will increase the number of Spans for more detail to shape with. Select the Torus and using its input node we can adjust the number of spans, sections, and hight ratio, wich we will all need. Click on the makeNurbsTorus on the Input in the Channel Box and use these settings Sections-10 > Spans-10 Height Ratio-0.2. View Image for

• Change Spans-Sections-HeightRatio
• To Finsish the top piece of the Handgrip Up well now increase its height giving us our final piece to place onto the staff. Select your Torus and Increase the Scale Y of the object from 1 to 3. See Image
