PAGE 8• Now our Image should
look nice and smooth similar to this one .
Note you can if you like also increase your resolution by
picking single Isoparms and draging them to a place desired
on the surface and using from the Main Header Pulldown Menu
Edit
Nurbs > Insert Isoparms, make
sure you reset the settings in the Option Box before you insert
single Isoparms.
I inserted 3 more Isoparms on the Staffs Head Piece. See Image
.

• On to our Final Modeling Technique required to Finish
our Magical Staff. Lets First Create another primitive object,
a Nurbs Sphere. Use Create
> Nurbs Primitives > Sphere,
and Scale
the Sphere into a Eggshape using the Scale tools, Shortcut
(r). See Image
.
• Now
onto the Circurlar
Fillet
itself. Select first the Eggshaped Sphere and holding down
Shift,
also the Staff Surface wich is intersecting the Sphere.
Under the Main Header Pull Down Menu choose Edit
Nurbs > Surface Fillet > Circular Fillet Option Box.
See Image .
In the Option
Box we
will use these settings to create the nice indention, wich
will combine our surfaces. In your case depending on the normals
of your object you might have to reverse some of the options
around to create similar result. Try different settings leaving
the Circular
Fillet Option Box Open
by using the Apply
button
instead of the Fillet
Button,
wich closes the entire Box.
See Image to See Fillet .
Now
all that's left over is to trim the undesired Surface Out.
Choose Edit
Nurbs > Trim Surfaces.See
Image .
Selet
the outer area wich we want to keep and press enter, leaving
you a nice indention. See Image .
Repeat this technique with more
objects wich you can shape to your desire. Get Creative, try
different possibliliteis.
