September 1-3, 2000 Heber, AZ
Once again the Incipient Shire of Stone Forest is proud to host Crown Tournament, seeking the heirs to Their Majesties Mathias and Sarolta. The event will take place September 1-3, 2000 at Camp Shadow Pines located near Heber, AZ in the beautiful White Mountains. The site will open at 1 pm, Friday, September 1 and close at 5 pm, Sunday, September 3.
On Saturday crown list will open at Their Majesties discretion; after which there will be a mini-feast consisting of cheeses, fruit and vegetable trays, a variety of soups in a bread bowl, and dessert. After feast we plan to have court dancing and possibly a live band. Sunday brings us a Warlord tourney and for the artisans, a Laurel's Prize Tourney. We will also be having an auction of articles found at events around the Kingdom as well as from the last two Estrella Wars.
Site Fee: $11.00 for adults (age 13+), $5.00 per child (4-12), children 3 and under free, $40.00 for a family. These prices are for camping and the two day event. Day passes are $6.00 per adult and $3.00 per child.
Feast Fee: $5.00 per adult, $3.00 per child. Feast reservations will be taken until the 25th of August by the Feastocrat.
Camping: Pets will be allowed if kept on a leash and you have proof of shots (tags or papers). Above ground fire pits are ok (please have a fire extinguisher and or a water bucket near fires; thank you). The site is wet but no glass bottles may be carried around. You may drive to the camping area to unload; then you must take the dragon to the dragon lot.
Merchants: All are welcome, this year there is no extra fee for merchants. Please try and be on site by 3 pm Friday to ease the congestion.
Directions: From Phoenix: take Hwy 87 to Payson, go East on Hwy 260 toward Heber to mile marker 300 (the site entrance is right across from it). From Flagstaff: take I-40 to Holbrook, go South on Hwy 77 to Hwy 377, go East to Hwy 277, go toward Heber and follow the signs to the site.

The following accommodations for the upcoming Crown Tourney (9/00) will be handled through the kingdom - first come first serve as of this publishing. My contact information is in the front cover of this newsletter. There are two houses that sleep 6 each, with one shower/bath; three trailers capable of sleeping up to 14 each (bunk beds), with double showers/baths; the Pines Lodge can sleep up to 24 in 6 bedrooms, with two shower/baths.
