I left QE Boys in the mid nintees after having been branded a 'poof' for FIVE years, by virtually my entire year as a result of a nasty rumour that was generated by some of my fellow classmates. Why do all (or at least many)Elizabethans insist on such a cruel and soul destroying witch hunt to highlight the most tiny fault in a boys character, and use it to brand them as homosexual. Have any of you thought of how it affects a person to be continously labelled like this through their formative years. Let me tell you - it really f---s you up. There is NO place for this type of severe mental bullying in any society, so why 1) do so many of you take part, and 2) do the damn school not sort it out and tell you what the world is really like.

My hope is that one day, you will mix with normal and genuine people who do not judge you or label you and who teach you that in an educated society, people support eachother and take everybody as they find them and not use mental bullying to supress those that they don`t understand. Most of you will discover this at university.

I think that you should all be very ashamed of yourselves. QE Boy's is a wonderful school, in the best traditions of England. It was schools like QE that produced the men who built the British Empire. You should all have a little bit of respect for the dedicated teachers who 'change the boy into a man'. I look on my time at QE as the happiest days of my life, and it made me the man I am today. All I read on this site is bitching and bitching and a little more bitching. Why not actually stand up for something gentlemen? Half the secondary schools in England have a student council which upholds the rights of the students and has some input on the direction of the school. A quarter of primary schools even have this facility. When OFSTED carry out one of those oh so important inspections the school must prove that its students are provided with this opportunity and are not simply rounded up like sheep. This site has provided a much needed voice for the concerns of the most important members of the QE Boys establishment but can some good come of it?

QE was / is depicted as one of the finest educational establishments in the UK.

But lets analyse this further:
- They Select the best and make some of them worse.
- They Bully the Pupils into what they want not what the pupils want.
- They Pressurise them to an extent where some are suicidal.

the list goes on.

As said, its a haven for people to be put down. they fail to understand they are playing with lives... its not a commericial project..its one that involves empathy and its toying with someones eventual well being and livelihood.

Some of the teachers are very good and sincere, and there credit has to be given, but to the teachers indivudually not to the school. The management of the school are hypocrits and are the sure cause of this huge mass of propaganda.

I looked at the web and there are not many I hate Woodhouse or I hate Habs Sites... actually didnt find any... but you type QE and hell there is even a web ring.

Innocence and Naivity (if there be such a word) should be cherished... not taken away from a young child.

Listen, the school DOES NOT have the power that the legal courts DON'T EVEN HAVE. Refer to "web censorship" in any search engine and you will see that in ALL courts, let alone schools, they are unable to prevent web sites from writing as much NON-LIABLE items as they wish.

The amount of relplies this one "stupid" character has generated means something alone, let alone looking at the overwellming supoport, spoken and UNSPOKEN, this site generates daily.

If the school has a REAL case, then take it to the courts, the papers, whatever... but we all know that it won't happen. Even the pitifull Yahoo! claim made is complete rubbish. Mr Richards who may not appreciate me for writing this but there have been a lot of negative articles about him on this site I would have to disagree. He is possibly the most dedicated and enthusiastic teacher in the school; he marks everything the next day in amazing detail and is an amazing teacher.

He may be pedantic but that’s his 'image' he is a good teacher and if you get the grade then who cares!!

Stop arguing about a solid system that will never change and be thankful. You have good teachers you respect and admire so name them. He is good, and deserves far more credit than he currently gets no other teacher spends as much time marking in good detail and helpful and friendly so simply complain about the useless and whinge about that which cant be changed and don’t be surprised, they hire the best and it wont change.

Firstly the school is good if your one of a small minority that fit into the perfect student role. if you dont your f***ed and will spend the rest of your time there constanly with teachers trying there best to f*** you up.
Secondly many of the teachers there are atually quite good, with some ones that do want the best for you while your there. Mr Sugden, Parcell, Lewis and a few others were like this. however the management of the school want to treat you like a piece of s*** and p*** all over you.
Finally lets keep this site going as it is being effective as a body against the regime and good luck to the blokes suspended

Firstly I'd just like to say I agree witn everything said about QE Boys on this page cos its all true. I had the misfortune of going to that shite school between 1991-1996.
The one thing about that school was if you did one thing wrong early on in your QE life you were made to pay for it for the rest of it.
Litter duty, refectory duty, prefects that made you stand facing the wall (nose touching the wall of course) with your arms outstreched holding two massive geography books. YEAH OK. I wish this page was around when I was there, because it would have given people like me the chance to f--- them up properly. I wasn't bad, well not really, I just didn't fit into their pretty picture. Not really the sort of person they wanted at their precious school. I hope the teachers read this, and for all of them that were there during my sentence, I hope my name brings back all the times I gave you greif. I have just read all the messages on here from a while back, and I feel it is a real shame that so many people were suspended for such a long period of time just for contributing. It is unfortunate however that I am not shocked. This is tyical behaviour for the school, remember boys: don't think for yourselves, look where it gets you...

I feel truly sorry for those suspended, as it must have come as quite a shock, and, needless to say, was very harsh. It seems that the school wants to make an example of you all and beat the message home that they don't approve of this site, you were all just used to illustrate a point.

Nonetheless, it seems that many ex-pupils (like myself) visit this site and until the school thinks of some way of actually restricting this site altogether, contributions will still come in.

Remember, this is the FIRST TIME EVER I can think of that the pupil body of QE, so usually supressed, actually has a means to protest against the schools stupid teaching methods, that so clearly revolve around grades and league tables. I oviously don't know, but I'm sure those who were suspended have become martyrs in QE rather than anything else. Anyone care to cast light on this issue?

Firstly, I would like to say that it is about time that someone (an ex-student) voiced their thoughts on the stinking poilicies of QE.

I left QE Boys School in 1999, and when I look back now, I think to my self i dragged to place a hated for 5 years, sitting on that misserable 107 bus, with all the w*****s who went to that school!!!

I had so many bad things happen to me there that the list is endless, so I will be breif!
To start with, in the second year I got a 1 hour detention from Dr. Mac. for wearing white socks!
Then, following up to my GCSE music, they decided not to enter me, making me sit in a room on my own and do private study, which got me absoulutly no where.
Then to top it all off, I was predicted so low that I'm surprised I got in anywhere, when I actually recieved 2 or 3 grades higher, for exmple, in Enlgish i was predicted DD, i got BC and now currently taking Enlgish A level and then a degree in it, when I got told that Enlgish A level wasn't for me!!!
Then to make matters worse, I got told by Mr Poole, that A levels weren't for me, and instead I should adopt GNVQ's, and for only one reason, the school get a bigger grant for GNVQ students!!! does it make sense!
Then, one friday afternoon, after a block run (2 laps), on my way home, I got punched in the head by a w---er student. Laying unconsious on the floor, mr firend helped me to my feet, took me to Mr Oulten and proceeded to tell him what happended. It seemed that this student was angry at me because I only completed one lap!!! He only recieved a 1hr detention and he didn't even turn up!!! - absoulutly pathetic.

All in all, I would never reccommend QE to any one, their policies absoulutly stink of single minded teachers who want number 1 in the tables, when in fact entering 50 students out of 180 to do A-levels is apparently the best way to do it!!!

If the school does not care about anything but GRADES, thn why don't they allow pupils to do subjects they want, OR why don't they allow pupils to even do A-levels (only GNVQs), and why don't they, to prove a point, REDUCE the entrance grades at GCSE needed for sixth form entry. Thr ONLY REASON is because of GRADES. This type of shite makes pupils (or at least did with me) feel meanless crapheads to the school, which does not embrace the pupils, its needs or generally give a crap about how they do if it is not in QE's interests. SURELY AIDING PUPILS IN MANY WAYS, NOT JUST EDUCATIONAL WAYS IS WHAT A SCHOOL IS ALL ABOUT DR. MAC.

Whilst I have been at QE Boys, I have been involved in arguments with numerous teachers, many of which have stabbed me in the back for various reasons. However some teachers have been good for me at QE and deserve my thanks.

Mr Ryan got me a B grade in the subject he took me for.

Mr Brown made sure our set took higher tier instead of intermediate in maths and resultantly I got the grade A I needed.

Miss Parcell always helps me out when Im struggling in History which is good think because other teachers just tell you to f--- off most of the time.

I typed my message here on christmass and i have just come back to see if it had any replies. Wow it had three, i must have written something good but i was wrong. Everyone hates me. Everyone thinks i am a f---ing idiot. Dr Mac at an assembly just before out GCSE mocks:"you should think of every day of your christmas holiday as a school day!wake up at 8 o clock, work for an hour and a half, and then take a 15 minute break!then do another one and a half hours work, and so on!and when you take a break, do something totally different from work, go to yout friends house, go to the cinema, just get away from your work!but when you work, concentrate hard!!"-ok...christmas holidays, wake up at 8, ooookkk then, whatever!!!ok...and he expects us to go to the cinema in 15 minutes???i don't know if that was possible back in south africa, but it sure as hell isn't here!

Dr Mac (say this in a strong South African accent)-"so you want to be a cool dude and a jack the lad, with your spliff and your marijuana, do you?well the first sign of anyone abusing these drugs, and you will be straight out of the gates in a flash"-if said in an accent, is so funny!!was cracking up throughout the whole assembly!!

Mr Ryan:"there seems to be a rumour going around that the school is only interested in getting good grades and doesn;t care about it's pupils!well this is totally untrue!simply, we do not want you to start a course and then strugle, and even maybe drop it!it is for your own good"-so what, i got an A* for maths and yet i still wasnnt allowed to do it?yeah for my own good my ass!they just keep the suck ups and chuck out everyone else!

i am going to write about the few safe teachers at qe boy's!!!

firstly i am surprised no-one has mentioned miss berman!!!she is sooo safe and she really cares about the pupils!she is genuinely a wicked teacher and she does all she can for the pupils, which i think is brilliant!!!

mr lewis is a wicked teacher, and i have no idea why people are saying bad stuff about him!he makes so much effort in his lessons and he really cares about the students, so i think he deserves a lot of credit!

mr armon has to be one of the best teachers!you learn so much with him and you have jokes aswell!!!his lessons are alwayz the best!

mr hargadon is a really good teacher!as long as you do all the things you are meant to do, such as homework, then he is really safe!jus stay on his good side and watch him take the p*** out of other ppl who muck about!he is a reallly good teacher and his lessons are fun too!

mr fitch is anotehr wicked teacher!he probably cares most about the students in the whole school!he will do whatever he can for his students, and that i think is really good of him!he also has entertaining lessons and you learn a lot with him!

mr bevan is a really good english teacher!he is probably one of the best english teachers i have ever had!

these are all the teachers i can think of, but there are probably loads more really amazing teachers!i know there is a lot of injustice in the school, and by no means do i like the school, and i cant wait to get out of it!but what is the point of me cussing it and then getting suspended?there is A LOT of injusice in the school, and i have felt this injustice on many occasions!!!there is so much corruption in the school it is not even funny, no words could describe it, however, it does not mean the whole school is like this.there teachers i have mentioned are really good, and are probably the best teachers you could ever ask for!so don't only think of the bad side of the school, because there is also a positive side to it!and although there is a lot of corruption in the school, you come out with good GCSE grades, and you have to be thankful to the school for that!

when i leave the school, you will see how much i really hate the school!i am not writing anything bad because i am just going to get in trouble, so wait a few months until i finish my GSCE's and let the cussing begin!

I have to say, I don't like some things around the school, and I've had some teachers agree with me, so there are a few things that need to change, for starters the swimming pool, or the minging pool!!! But thats another story altogether!

Some of the things written about the teachers on here have bin really bad and although some of them can be annoying, or the may have stupid little quirks that everybody can have a laugh at, they are generally good people, and they wouldn't be teaching if they didn't care! I have to admit, I wrote a message on here about Mr Jansen coz I thought he was a Twat, but since then I've gotten to know him, and he is a good bloke, he acts tough, and we all know that he's stretchin it there but when you get into the 6th form, if your nice to him, he'll be nice to you.

Another thing, I never got to read that post about the business studies department, but from what I hear it was quite nasty! And I was one of the people in the firing line for it, because I was in Mrs Well's business studies set last year, and now do Sociology! But I do think that whatever was written probobly went over the top quite badly, and I don't think Mrs Wells deserved it because she is one of the nicest teachers I've ever had! Although she does talk too fast in Sociology. And Mrs Wells, if you happen to glance at this, I reckon you'll know who wrote it!
