SANCTUARY OF THE LORD
"For God so loved the world, that he gave his only
begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should
not perish, but have everlasting life." John 3:16
A Vision of Jesus Christ
Kneeling down with my eyes closed I saw a man dragging
a large cross. The crowds on each side of the way would
quiet as he staggered by. There was blood running down
his face and and on his back soaking though his garment.
As he stumbled and fell I heard the groan of a man
in agony. The scene then changed and I saw several men
dressed as Roman soldiers kneeling and sitting on him,
holding him down on the cross he had been dragging. Two
held one of his arms while a third drove a large wooden
nail through his hand into the wood of the cross. The
man screamed the scream of horrible pain. They held his
legs and his other arm down as the process was repeated.
The Romans seemed immune to the screams and groans as
they lifted the cross and settled it into the earth.
Blood ran down the cross and dripped onto the earth.
It was evident by his twisted face and body that the
man was in acute pain. He looked at me and I was filled
with peace and I heard, "I do this for you." Then I was
told, "Write what you have seen."
Again I knelt and closed my eyes and I wept. There was
no vision now but I wept for all of the lost souls. I
wept for all who would experience an eternity of
suffering with no hope of it ever ending. I wept for
all who would not accept the love of the man who suffered
and died for them on a Roman cross.
Did you know that Jesus loves us so much that He allowed
himself to be ridiculed and beaten, to suffer
unimaginable agony and death on that cross. The hope
that is deep down inside all of us, that connection to
God, was severed when he called out from the cross,
"Father, Father, why have you forsaken me?" That
connection, that hope, was severed when he took on the
sins of the whole world, when he took on my sins, when
he took on your sins.
Please, please accept the saving grace that He offers.
Do it now, don't put it off even a few more minutes.
No matter what you have ever done, He will take you just
as you are. You only need to admit to Him that you are not
perfect, that you have sinned, to ask forgiveness and
then ask Jesus to live in your heart. Your spirit will
be reborn and you will be truely clean, an heir to
the Kingdom of Heaven.
If you have asked Jesus into your heart for the first
time, or if you have been away from Him and have just
come back, Write to me and tell me about it. Then
go and tell a Pastor at a Christian Church of your
choice.
