The 1996 HPAIR conference was co-hosted by the Seoul National University. The conference was one of the first scholarly platforms to provide students and academics with the opportunity to explore the new phenomenon of "globalization," allowing them to meet and exchange views on the topic with colleagues from more than fifteen countries.
