HPAIR 2000
This was a historic year as the 9th HPAIR conference was held in Beijng, China, with the Harvard organizers working closely with the host country organizing committee of Peking University. With the theme "Diversity & Convergence: Resolving Asia's Role in the Global Community", the conference was indeed a historic one as over 300 students from all over the world participated in a four-day conference (Aug. 26-30, 2000) that featured distinguished speakers and lecturers, stimulating workshop sessions, trips to various historic sites (including the Great Wall and the Summer Palace), and a variety of other activities that allowed the delegates to interact and learn from one another. The final day just came far too quickly for everyone.
