Jesse Quick is the daughter of JSA members Johnny Quick and Liberty Belle. Like her father, Jesse uses a spoken formula to gain the powers of super-speed and flight. From her mother, she inherited occasional bursts of super-strength. A student of meta-human studies, she did her Masters' thesis on super-speed heroes through the ages. When the JSA returned from limbo, she began spending time with the team. She finally decided to become a superhero, partly because she was already so familiar with it, and partly because it fascinated her. She has gone through several costume variations, and is still trying to find her niche. When her father died, she took over his position as head of Quick-Start Enterprises. She uses her super-speed to full advantage at work (although it seems only her assistant, Tally, is aware of her double life). She was eventually convinced by Nightwing to join the latest group of Titans. Bio by Kelson Vibber
RELATIONS WITH THE CORE MEMBERS: The Flash - She and
Wally got off to a good start when they met on a JSA case. But then his actions during
"Terminal Velocity" - naming her heir to the Flash name only to trick Impulse
into thinking things through - led her to resent his puppeteering. They have since worked
through that, and they have worked together enough to trust each other again.
