Edmonton 2001

Finally, about almost a year later, I have pictures from my spring trip to Edmonton, Alberta.  If you don't remember what I did  last May, then visit Edmonton, Alberta--Capital of Wild Rose Country to refresh your memory.

This is the hospital where I was doing my practice work.  It's also the hospital in which I was born. I was really returning to my roots.

This hospital is across from West Edmonton Mall, so it was easy for me to go to the mall if I wanted. However, it was far from where I was staying.

This is Edmonton City Hall. It's a very beautiful building built not too long ago. People are free to enjoy the wading pool which is in front of the building. In the summer when it's very hot, I'm sure many people enjoy a brief dip to cool themselves.

Inside the building, you can walk around, enjoy the art, ask questions, and even listen to the city council if they are meeting.

In front of the doors in this picture is a big countdown clock. In August 2001, Edmonton hosted the World Athletic Championships and was very proud of it.

My aunt loved to go out on weekends with her son and she brought me along. Here we are at the Northlands Racetrack. That's my little cousin in front of me.

I can't say that I am really interested in horse racing (like some persons in my family).
