Finally, about almost a year later, I have pictures from my spring trip to Edmonton, Alberta.  If you don't remember what I did  last May, then visit Edmonton, Alberta--Capital of Wild Rose Country to refresh your memory.

Welcome to Fort Edmonton. In Canadian history, most of Western Canada was originally owned by the Hudson's Bay Company. This company was into fur trading two centuries ago. So, throughout Western Canada, there are these forts for fur traders to live in and do business with the Native tribes. Later on, many of these forts were surrounded by settlers who then created cities.

By the way, the Hudson's Bay Company is Canada's oldest company at over 325 years old.

Inside Fort Edmonton, there are many things to learn about how life was about 100-200 years ago.

My cousin and I are sitting outside a teepee.  Teepees are homes that the Prairie Natives lived in. The teepees were designed to be easy to setup, easy to take down, and light to carry. The life of the Prairie Natives was full of travel across the land in order to follow their food sources, like the buffalo.
