Lake Champlain Dragon Boat Festival – August 6
Fantastic hosts and a wonderful tours marked our 1st experience here. Several members made the trip north to paddle with the Dragonhearts and came away with wonderful medals and new friends!
Montreal Dragon Boat Festival – July 22 and 23
Machestics made their return to Montreal a successful one improving with each race, we worked through our fatigue and beat out 2 teams in their final heat! This field trip made special by our wonderful Montreal hosts, beautiful city, great racing and a beautiful ceremony.
Lake Parsippany – June 3
Midge represented the Machestics well. Serving as the info resource for the newbies from the Atlantic City's Gilda's Gladiators and NJDBC's Jersey Gems
Washington DC Dragon Boat Festival – May 22
New Jersey Dragon Boat Club members filled our seats (lots of them) and helped us take home the 2nd place trophy and a new team FLAG! Thank you DC!
Eye-Dotting Ceremony on the Schylkill River – Philadelphia, PA – May 6
We took up the offer by our Philly Hosts: Against the Wind and Hope Afloat, to a day of racing, ceremony and remembrance on the Philadelphia Schuylkill River. We raced three 250 meter races and came in last out of 4 boats in the first two races and tied for 4th in the last race out of 6 boats.
