Practice Information
Practice Days and Times
Tuesdays and Thursdays at 6:00 pm, with stretching warm-ups at 5:45.
We will make ONE return trip to the beach after 15 minutes to pick up anyone who is late.
Sundays at 8:30 am, with stretching warm-up at 8:15.

Important: Once you are a member, your name will be added to our practice evites. We will TRY to send out an e-mail only if practice is cancelled. But before coming to practice, check the evite to see if there are enough sign-ups for practice. If you are not sure if we are having a practice, contact a member of the board.
Typical Session
– Sign-in 15 minutes before practice begins
– Warm-up
– Paddling Instruction
– Gear up (we provide lifejackets and paddles for those who do not have their own)
– Launch boat
– Paddle around Mercer Lake
– Moore the boat
– Stretch and cool-downSuggested Items to Bring
– Sunblock
– Bottled water (1 to 3 depending on the heat index)
– Sunglasses with securing strap
– Secure hat or visor
– Towel
– Change of clothes – dry shoes or sandals
– Boating Butt Pad or a Gardner's kneeling pad to sit on for padding
What to Wear
You will be on water so be prepared to get a little wet!
– Quick-dry shorts and a tee shirt/tank top
– Sandals, boat shoes or old sneakers (some of us go barefoot in the boat)
– Jacket and long pants (if it is cold outside)
– Biking Gloves (garden gloves are fine for starting out – they will get wet though
