Meet The Artist
Master Quilter
Rita Watkins
of Tucson, Arizona
Rita has been sewing since she was a small child, even before she started school. Her mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother were all excellent seamstresses. Her grandmother helped support the family during the depression. Rita was a dressmaker when her 3 daughters were small, in addition to making all of their clothes and her own. She quilted off and on during this time, but it wasn't until she retired that she was able to denote the time and energy to quilting that she wanted to. She now belongs to the Tucson Quilters Guild, and is learning new techniques all the time.
She is hooked!
