"Braised Abalone in Oyster Sauce"

Ingredients:
  • 1 canned abalone
  • 450 g. lettuce
  • 1 stalk spring onion (sectioned)
  • 4 slices ginger
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 2 tbsps. oyster sauce
  • 1 tbsp. soy sauce
  • 1 tsp. wine
  • 1/2 tsp. sugar
  • 1/3 tsp. monosodium glutamate (MSG)
  • 1 cup water
  • 1/3 tsp. sesame oil
  • 1 tbsp. corn flour

[Braised Abalone in Oyster Sauce]Reward yourself with this exotic, flavorful, and authentic Chinese recipe that is sure to leave you wanting for more.

Procedure:
  1. Slice abalone. Wash lettuce leaves, drain and cut into slices.

  2. Heat 2 tbsps. of oil in a wok. Add lettuce and salt. Stir fry until slightly softened. Remove to plate.

  3. Saute spring onion sections and ginger slices in 2 tbsps. of oil. Remove spring onion and ginger when fragrant. Add the rest of the ingredients except abalone and lettuce. When it begins to thicken, add abalone, stir well and pour over lettuce. Serve hot.
