The Art of Warming Up

This is the first thing we must do in all fitness training is to warm up, as it will stimulate the heart, lungs and increase blood circulation, and will waken the body for more vigorous training ahead. Injuries may result if your body is not fully warmed up. Also, if your warm up is incomplete you will not get the full benefits of your stretching exercises at a later stage.

Warming up can been done by running, jogging, skipping and cycling. Our class has chosen to do five to six minutes of skipping, as we find it helps to develop fast foot work, balance, strong calves and endurance.
