Lillian died at
about two years of age.
(Mary) Kathleen married
John LaRue of Middletown. They have two children John Jr. and Dorothy
Jane are living in Auburn, Illinois.
Duncan, who married Mildred
Bigler of near Auburn, lived in Auburn. He was in service during the World
War.
Dorothy, in her last
year of High School, became sick and never was able to complete the
work. After a lingering illness which she bore so uncomplainingly, she passed
away and was laid to rest in Auburn Cemetery.
Cecelia, who attended Blackburn
College, Carlinville, Illinois.
Louisa became the wife of
Chester Hoppin, son of Daniel Hoppin, who lived near Pawnee at one time. They
later moved to Wray, Colorado, where they now reside
Charles Duncan married Eva
Matthew of near Pawnee, lives on the Duncan McTaggart home place. They have
five boys: Leonard, Stanley, Harlan, Duncan, and Thomas,, all at home.
William Robert married Cora
Lupton of Pawnee, Illinois, daughter of Julius Lupton. They too, as did Neil
and Chat, went to house keeping in the Weaning house at the old home later
moving to the Lupton home near Pawnee, Illinois, where they since have resided.
They have two girls:
Irene, wife of Mead McWilliams
of near Pawnee, Illinois. They live on a farm near Pawnee. A child was born
which died in infancy.
Esther, who is at home.
Robert McTaggart
(died Jan. 4, 1916) married Jane Carswell (died Jan. 8, 1891) and lived on
a farm south of Pawnee. There were five children:
Margaret, who died in infancy.
Jane, who married D. J.
Lamkin of White Oak, Illinois, now lives in Springfield. They have two children
- Harold, who served in the service over seas in the World War. After coming
home he married Mary Hoagland and lives in Taylorville; and Florence, who
married Homer Wright and lives in Springfield.
Walter Neil, who married
Ethel Funderburk of Beamington. They live south of Pawnee. They have two
children, Betty Rae and Robert Donald.
Freddy, died aged four months.
Albert Thomas married first
Mary Melvina Colean-their son Clarence Eugene died in infancy; second, Edith
Fallenstein of Divernon.
He served three years in
Spanish American War in Philippine Islands an,d also was assistant at the
Sangamon County Exemption Board during the World War. He died from injuries
received while working a sewer in Springfield, Jan. 1927. They lived on the
farm for some time, later
moving to Springfield,
where they now live. They have two girls, Martha and Helen, who are attending
schools in that city.
