Dr. Rodolfo M. Matienzo, Ph.D., is an international consultant who has fifteen (15) years of  experience in Microfinance and  Cooperatives/Informal Groups Development for Poverty Alleviation in Bangladesh involving big projects that were implemented by the Canadian International Development (CIDA) and Norwegian Agency for Development Cooperation (NORAD).  He has various exposure to practices and approaches of  NGOs in Bangladesh like Grameen Bank, Bangladesh Rural Advancement Committee (BRAC) and other similar organizations.  He also held various positions  such as Associate Professor of  Agricultural Finance and Cooperatives in the University of the Philippines at Los Baņos (UPLB) and as Director of the Agricultural Credit and Cooperatives Institute (ACCI) involved in instruction, training/extension and research in rural finance and cooperatives development.
