April 22 (Saturday) --  NISSITISSIT RIVER  (EASY)

A small secluded river with remarkably clear water that twists and turns through woodlands and marshes.  The sharp turns and good current offer a lively paddle.

April 23 (Sunday) -- PENNICHUCK BROOK (EASY)

A short two-hour winding trip through vegetation behind all the build-up on Amherst Street.  You’ll see how nature deals with developments such as car dealerships, fast food restaurants and residential housing.
Pennichuck Brook feeds the ponds that are the source of Nashua’s drinking water and the source of some of the drinking water that Pennichuck Corporation sells to other towns.
Meet 9:00am in Merrimack, NH.   From the Everett Turnpike take exit 8 to Rte 101A west toward Milford. Continue on 101A (Amherst St) for approximately 2 ¼ miles to the Pennichuck Square parking lot on right.

April 29 (Saturday) -- SOUHEGAN RIVER, Greenville to Wilton  (MODERATE TO DIFFICULT)

This section consists of tough Class II rapids suitable for experienced canoeists or beginning kayakers.  This is the first of several trips that will cover much of the Souhegan River over the summer.
Drysuits or wetsuits required.  Call or email prior to trip.  Location may be changed due to water conditions.  Meet at 9:30am, properly dressed.  From Rte 101 in Wilton, NH, take Rte 31 south toward Greenville to bridge across the river.   Leader:  George May (603) 883-3409, email:  georgemay@adelphia.net  Trip Partners: Souhegan Watershed Association, the Merrimack Valley Paddlers, and NH Rivers Council.

April 30 (Sunday) -- SOUHEGAN RIVER,  W. Milford  (MODERATE TO EASY)

A winding stream with fast current which always seems to offer an opportunity to practice maneuvering skills around a tree or two.

West Milford to Souhegan Girls and Boys Club.  Meet at 9:00am.  From intersection of Rte 101A and Rte 101 in West Milford, go north across bridge and meet on west side of river on North River Rd.   Leader:  Steve Campbell (603) 783-9447, email:  norollsteve@yahoo.com .  Trip Partners:  Souhegan Watershed Association and NH Rivers Council.
