October 1 (Sunday) -- NASHUA RIVER, Ayer (EASY)
This gentle flowing section of the river is surprisingly sylvan with
pleasant views. A side trip or two will take place. Meet at 9:30am in
Ayer, MA. From Rte 495 Exit 30 take Rte 2A west to launch at bridge
over Nashua River in Ayer. Launch site bridge is about 1 mile from

October 7 (Saturday) -- CONTOOCOOK RIVER,
Peterborough (EASY)
A beautiful fall foliage paddle past woods, meadows, under an old
covered bridge into the scenic Powder Mill Pond. Meet at 9:00AM in
Peterborough, NH. Rte 101 to Rte 202 north, 4 miles to 3rd right after
Rte 136 onto Scott Mitchell Road.

October 8 (Sunday) -- WINNIPESAUKEE RIVER, Tilton
(EASY TO MODERATE)
This popular paddle is always enjoyed by everyone. It offers not only flatwater but a couple of class I-II sections thought to be excellent training for beginners.

October 14 (Saturday) -- ARLINGTON MILL RESERVOIR / ARLINGTON POND, No. Salem (EASY)
During the late 18th Century a dam was placed across the Spicket River, creating the Arlington Mill Reservoir to guarantee a water supply for the textile mills downstream in Methuen and Lawrence. Today, the 266 acre Arlington Pond is mostly surrounded by houses that vary in size from small camps to large, expensive homes. We paddle close to the shore to view the October foliage colors, visit several coves and eat lunch on an uninhabited island.
Meet at 10:30 am at the Mt. Pleasant Cemetery on E. Broadway in
N. Salem, NH. From the north and south, take Rte 93 to NH exit 3, Rte 111. Off the exit ramp take a right onto Rte 111 eastbound. Note there
is a sharp left at the lights within ΒΌ mile of the exit. One mile after the
sharp left, follow Rte 111 across Rte 28. After 0.7 miles Shadow Lake
will be on the left. Just after Shadow Lake take a right onto Zion Hill
Rd. Then take a left at the stop sign onto East Broadway. Travel 0.8
miles on East Broadway to the Mt. Pleasant Cemetery on the left and
Arlington Pond on the right. Park in front of the cemetery. Leader:
