These free trips are made possible by our dedicated crew of volunteer trip leaders and the generosity of our members and advertisers.
Questions? Call trip leaders (evenings unless noted), program coordinators Gwen or Doug Whitbeck, evenings at (603) 878-9046, or the MRWC office at (978) 275-0120.

So, what should I know before coming on a trip?
Know how to swim. Personal Floatation Devices (PFDs) are required for all paddlers on MRWC trips.
You are responsible for your own safety.
All trip leaders are volunteers and are not trained in assisting special needs.
Beginners should take trips labeled easy.
You will need to bring your canoe or kayak. Sometimes there may be outfitters in the area who can supply or rent boats and other equipment. Ask your trip leader - well in advance - for suggestions.
We discourage taking small children unless you are an experienced boater.
Please leave your pets in the safety of your own home. Sorry, but no dogs on trips, please!
Dress appropriately for the weather - April and May trips involve cold water; paddlers on April trips must dress for cold-water conditions and carry dry clothes in boats.
It's a good idea to contact the trip leader a few days before the trip.
Go to put-in first; volunteers will coordinate shuttling drivers to take-out.
We paddle rain or shine at a leisurely pace with a lunch break around noon.
Most trips end by 3:00 pm.
No registration is required unless otherwise noted.
All trips are free.
