MRWC strives to protect the Merrimack River and the land surrounding it and third-party advocacy programs are necessary for the river’s protection. These programs are only possible with unrestricted funding which is predominantly obtained through our individual and corporate member donations. Some of these programs include the Volunteer Environmental Monitoring Network (VEMN), reviewing permits, river advocacy, outreach and education. Any other funding we receive is generally restricted and cannot support these programs. Thus, membership support is vital to our third-party advocacy programs.
We need your help today as we continue to restore and protect the Merrimack River watershed…our essential resource for drinking water, recreation, economic growth, and quality of life. You can help by becoming an individual or corporate member, volunteering in our water quality monitoring program, and/or informing your friends about our organization and the benefits to the local community.
You can be sure that every dollar we receive is used carefully and leverages other support. The Council has worked for nearly thirty years to improve the quality of our river and watershed. We hope you will become a member today, and consider becoming a volunteer as well. Thank you in advance for your generous support and we hope to hear from you soon.
