SYNOPSIS:
Our intrepid hero Jack (Jackie) Robinson (UberG) is a hard boiled PI, a dame trying to make it in a world of men. She's down on her luck, until the day Lois Jennings walks into her life. Lois (UberX) is tall, dark, undeniably gorgeous, and Jack smells trouble. It's up to her to save the beautiful woman from being wasted by the mob, and to do that, they need to get the goods on Lois's mafia boss husband before it's too late.

NANCY:
Gotta love it. Now it seems that merely being an uber incarnation of Gabrielle automatically gives you a rather silly attachment to fedora hats *g*

EWOK:
It sounds amusing...

NANCY:
Oh, it's just sex with a plot, but the plot is at least relatively funny. The story has a nice narrative style and voice, even though it is peppered with the usual grammar nightmares.

EWOK (channeling Jack):
Right you are, dollface.

NANCY:
Don't call me dollface! And don't kiss me either!

EWOK:
Gimme my damn hat back, and I promise I won't.

NANCY:
It is always better to have some kind of interesting tale to accompany the sex, even if it's ultimately just the sex that you want to read. I'm forced to give this story a good rating, just because I've been so harsh on sex stories with no plot in the past. I'm grateful stories like this actually exist!

And for the record, it's also cool to have something to read that's under 30 pages. I was able to download it, print it out and read it in my lunch hour for something fun to do. I actually really thought that was cool. Long live the short and snappy story!

I'm going for 7/10 for this one. It's not high art, but I'm a sucker for cliched, noirish little gems like this. Tragedy 88 is another of those writers with a small cult following. The Tribe should be happy with this one.
