NANCY: ... Uggghhhh word block!! Word for ancient prediction ... driving me insane ... shit! EWOK: (helpfully) Prophecy? NANCY: ^*(&^%&%^#$%$#%^&&(**&(*&(!!! %^&^^*I++GYUT&^*%^#%$%$#%#!!!!** (long pause) Yup, that would be it ... prophecy. Oh yeah, and there's lots of sex. As storytelling goes, I think this is a fine yarn. However, as well as being far too long and in need of some cut and slash of some of the more long winded scenes, it is plagued with that most insidious of fanfic monsters ... the sex euphemism. Yes, indeed, Mr Boughen scores at least three entries into the euphemism hall of fame with this story, at one juncture referring to one woman reaching into the other's point of power ... EWOK: ZZZZZZZZAP! NANCY: I'm thinking that's gotta be a rather traumatic experience to have on a mountaintop. EWOK: Far too much wandering around jungles, not to mention the Freudian implications of squeezing through tunnels in the forest. NANCY: 6.5 out of 10. Mainly because I kind of liked the bit where Diana just keeps being transported back down the mountain by the prophecy. It was a cool idea. Ewok? EWOK: You liked that bit? I'll give it a 5.
