THE BALLAD OF ROSE'S TAVERN

I'm going to Rose's in old Algodones,
Might even sit in for awhile,
Where Brandy and Friday and Linda and Coz
Help everybody to smile.

The jukebox is filled with all kinds of good stuff,
Tex Ritter and Kershaw and the Stones,
And even if you're feeling so lonesome where you are,
When you get there, you'll always feel at home.

There's dancing on Friday and Saturday nights,
On Sunday, there's a big barbecue,
On Thursday, John Williams will sing you his songs,
And they're open the other nights too.

The beer's bout as cheap as you'll find it around,
You can shoot some 8-ball if you like to watch those balls go down,
There's a fine home-cooked meal early every Wednesday night,
And they've got the best damn mellow vibes they're sure to get you feeling right.

Head north out of 'Querque on I-25,
Head west at the Cuba signs,
Turn right at the crossroad in north Bernalillo,
And you'll make it on up there just fine.

I'm going to Rose's in old Algodones,
Might even sit in for awhile,
Where Brandy and Friday and Linda and Coz
Help everybody to smile.
