There are books and movie which offer helpful advice, but who has time these days to read the books or watch the movies? Especially when aliens might or might not be watching you. I have collected the following helpful hints to alert you to the fact that aliens might be spying on you.

You see strange lights in the sky. This may seem obvious, but if the strange lights are alien spacecrafts, there is a good chance that you are the target. Think of it this way, most people never see strange lights at all. If you do, you're already remarkable. Do you want to take the chance that they're really watching someone else?

Strangers seem to know more about you than they should. Alien test subjects are carefully watched. Alien handlers may disguise themselves as strangers, but can be detected because they "know too much". You can use this defensively by giving out wrong information to people you meet on the street. If someone you never met calls you "Tom", when you've been giving out "Siegfried" then you can be reasonably certain they're an alien. Just don't let on that you know that they're an alien....

You and members of your household experience the same dreams. Aliens often replace memories of their tests with implanted dream memories. Sharing identical or similar dreams undoubtedly mean that aliens have started to probe your family and you should escape as soon as possible before it's too late.

Neighbor's lights are on all night. Aliens typically perform their experiments under the cover of nightfall. Invariably they are also quiet, so don't confuse the genuine alien with your party-loving human neighbors.

Neighbor has strange eating habits. Aliens are generally unfamiliar with human eating habits. They often commit dining faux pas such as eating pizza with a knife and fork or drinking coffee through a straw. Aliens that have been here longer typically mistake the salad fork for the dinner fork.

Neighbor has lush vegetation. Most humans will have one or two dying plants or patches of weeds in their lawns. Aliens that are in tune with the biosphere usually have thick lawns and vibrant houseplants. However this tip cannot always be relied upon: some aliens care little for plant life and their technology gives off radiation that kills plants and wards off small vermin.

Frequent mention of world domination. Aliens disguising themselves as your next door neighbor will often bring up world domination in any conversation. They can be differentiated from normal humans in that they usually don't start with specific countries. They jump right to 'the whole world'. These aliens are also fascinated by the word "puny" and consistently use it in place of the word "small".
