Calcryx proved to be a bit of trouble to capture, but was shortly subdued when Alton produced some raw meat for bait, Tai pounced and held on to the little white wyrmling while Rykasha tied a bag over his body and secured it all with a rope. Meepo was overjoyed to see his charge returned into his care, and quickly went off with other lizard folk to return him to his cage. Yusdryal was sitting upon her throne when the party arrived, and they bowed low to acknowledge her. She bid them rest and offered them room to sleep. Alton released the rest of his meat to the tribe of lizard folk and a mini celebration ensued in Calcryx honor.
During the celebration our heroes gathered together in a circle and got aquainted with the prisoners and pooled all their knowledge together in an effort to find out what had happened. Erky explained that he had been a prisoner for years, and had seen when the burning blades were taken before Durn, but hadn’t heard anything back after that. The Wizard had been abducted while caravanning on the old road, and ended up being forgotten right along with Erky for months. Rykasha then regarded the lady who they had saved from the whipping block earlier and they all learned of her story.
The lady was blind and wore a patch of cloth over her eyes like a blindfold. She called each of the PCs by name and gave them a brief insight to their lives and a little bit of knowledge from either the future, or from the present at a far away location. When she turned toward Rykasha, her good demenor whent away and she told the rest of the party about the villain that Rykasha is. She told stories that were garbled and hard to determine if it was Rykasha in the past, present, or future that would become the villain. When she had finished talking, a red colored spirit leapt from her body and escaped through the ceiling. The body of the woman instantly changed so that she appeared to be no older than twenty, but when the patch covering her eyes was removed, it was apparent that whatever inhabited her body previously had gouged out her eyes and it had healed since then. Now blind and out of place, Erky volunteered to leave with her that next morning and take her to Oakhursdt. The rest of the party agreed, and the Wizard asked to stay with the party to help find Roedyn. Killian was not as willing to let the seer off the hook and lept at the girl shouting. Tai and Rykasha both had to pull him off and calm him down. The frightened girl, and the morose party then fell into a dreamless sleep for the night.
When they awoke, Yusdryal was sitting upon the throne waiting to talk to them. Rykasha spoke for the party and they were awarded what they were promised. Rykasha said that they wanted the golden key held in the dragon throne. Yusdryal spoke a command word and the key dropped into her outstretched hand. The key was presented and the party who made preparations to leave in hopes of finding Roedyn somewhere in the upper levels.
