Less than one week until the Preacher was supposed to arrive into Gelsmug, Alton baptized the eighth member of his clergy for the Temple of Pelor. Feeling that the temple would run itself at this point, he left his clergy with materials as best as he could and informed them of what to expect. He asked those he left behind to continue the traditions with as little variation as possible in the coming battle. He then got together with the rest of the party who had been standing ready waiting for the Reverend Alton to leave. Just as they had saddled up and started to go, Killian heard a member of his militia screaming out near the entrance of the underground tunnel: “There coming through!”
Quickly they raced East out of the town limits towards the settlement of Tesko Suicide to find out more about the Indian nations. As they were leaving, they heard the sounds of battle continue until they were out of hearing range. Surprised, they were, to find no traces of smoke or pursuit coming from the Preacher… Jebediah had secured the town of Gelsmug.
On the eighth day after baptizing the eight member into the clergy of Pelor, Alton the cleric felt the presence of his lord Pelor shining down on him with the rising of the sun. When he prayed to his god for the spells to be granted, there was no hesitation, and no limitations. Pelor had come to Earth.
