(11-15)

11 "The Value of My Life is Priceless"
"Boku no Inochi no Kachi wa Puraisuresu" (僕の命の価値はプライスレス)

Maria suggest that it is time for Hayate to meet Nagi's grandfather, Mikado Sanzen'in and all three of them decides to visit him. Sakuya join in the fray as well, riding from a Chinook to Nagi's grandfather's castle. Hayate is immediately arrested being a stranger but is saved by Nagi in time. Being said as having a poor man's face, Hayate became despondent. Hayate decides to walk around the castle to cheer himself up but meets Mikado Sanzen'in instead. He, who disguise as a gardener, decides to have a chat with him. Hayate tell him how he manage to have a debt of such amount and how Nagi saved him. Mikado soon revealed himself to him and say that Hayate is worthless. He continues saying that his life is actually more worthless than his parents. A life spent to pay back a debt is worthless he said and give him a pendent to help him get back his life. Hayate accept it without complaint.

Mikado soon meets Nagi and seen being comforted by Maria because of her bullying him after receiving an wicked answer from Nagi when asked whether she wants his assets. He then tell Maria that Nagi properly will have to die soon. After finding out why, Nagi went to find Hayate. She find out from her grandfather that he has made a condition that his assets will be given to the one who made Nagi cry and say sorry. That is what she is about to tell Hayate when someone attacked them. Nagi identified as the man who will get the asset5s of Sanzen'in. He is Gilbert Kent, Sakuya's illegitimate brother. Gilbert tries to plead to Nagi to cry for her but she refused. He then tries to attack Hayate and force Nagi to do the exact same thing. Fortunately for her, Hayate manages to defeat Gilbert with Hayate knowing that if he lose, Nagi will lose everything and even ask him to pay back his debt. It is a fight he will not lose and he exactly did just that. A straight kick on the face sent Gilbert falling down and out. Hayate then promise that he will protect Nagi from anyone who tries to make her cry. Nagi is without a doubt happy like hell. They soon leave the castle with Hayate wearing the pendent with him. It seems to be more of a trouble than a help for Hayate in the near future. Sakuya is indeed left behind though.

12 "In the Past, We were Taught that Youth Does Not Look Back at the Space Police"
"Bokura wa Mukashi, Uchū no Keiji ni Wakasa to wa Furimukanai Koto da to Osowatta" (僕らは昔、宇宙の刑事に若さとは振り向かない事だと教わった)

Dreaming about the time he is young and talking about his useless parents, Hayate wake up wondering why he would dream like this. He then refer to the meeting with Mikado. Knowing that thinking about that is useless, Hayate decides he will have only one goal in his mind: to protect Nagi always. Maria's dream when Hayate ask her is for Nagi to grow into a mature woman. She ask why Hayate would ask her that when he said that dreams are important for one's life. Maria find him weird and ask whether it has anything to do with their visit to Mikado. Maria then tell Nagi about Hayate's dream but she totally mistook it. Hayate's dream is actually 3LDK. (3 rooms: dining room, kitchen, living room) Maria find him pitiful. Knowing that his cellphone has been wrecked, she told him to go buy one. He did and then wonder what happened to his former high school friends. He then went to visit his former high school and meet his friends there. One happens to be Ayumu. Ayumu ask why he never come to school. Hayate can only say a long story that made it sound rather impossible for Ayumu. She is merely glad to meet him again. Hayate soon find out that his parents has taken away the money for his tuition there and sign him out of the school. Hayate became anguished and decides to leave here as soon as he find out. Ayumu tries to talk to him to stay but failed. She decides to make one last attempt and that is to confess her feelings to him. Hayate mercilessly rejected her and receive a tight slap on his face. He return back home to see Nagi entering her mobile number into his cell phone. Hayate can see how adorable she can be.

Ayumu return some DVD to Wataru's shop and talk to him about Hayate. When she left, Hayate enter the store and return some DVD on his own. When he exit the store, Ayumu notices Hayate and decides to follow him. She discover him entering through a large gate and wonder if he is living here now. She soon assume that Hayate must be held there by Yakuza. She is soon found out by the SP there. Maria is informed of it and told them to let her be and send her off. But they literally left her go and allow her to enter the compound. The chase for her began. Ayumu is then chased by Tama and is looking to be caught by him when Hayate knocked Tama out of commission. Ayumu is delightful that Hayate saved her. Nagi appear and Ayumu and her had a confrontation. Knowing that she cannot defeat Nagi, Ayumu decides to run away. Nagi then ask Hayate never to leave her alone. He promise her that. Nagi seems to be decided on something. It is related to the next episode.

13 "Those who Command Summer Seem to Command Exams"
"Natsu o Seisuru Mono wa Juken o Seisuru Rashii ssu yo" (夏を制する者は受験を制するらしいっすよ)

Seeing Ayumu appearing in Nagi's mansion, Hayate wonder what she is doing right now. Ayumu did exactly the same thing as well. Both of them sneezes whie thinking of each other. Hayate then wonder why she is at Nagi's mansion at that moment in time and the quarrel she had with Nagi. Before long, a mail came for Nagi. Still thinking about Ayumu, he started to regret rejecting Ayumu's love but knows he has no right to date anyone with the situaiton he is in. However, he feel he should have done that properly. Giving the mail to Nagi, he find out what the mail is from Nagi. It is a transfer form into Hakuou Academy for Hayate. Nagi wants him to go to school with her despite Hayate's complaint at first. But he end up thanking Nag for this opportunity. Maria discover this and find out that Hataye will need to pass an entrance exam to get in. Klaus warn that he must pass as the butler of Sanzen'in. Hayate is certainly hyped up and is determined to pass it even though the exam is going to be difficult and it is going to happen tomorrow. No choice whatsoever, Hayate spend the whole night studying. However, when he think he had enough of studying, he wasn't able to sleep. Klaus and Tama tried to disturb him as much as they could, preventing from sleeping on his bed all night long. In the end, Hayate went to school with Nagi with big bright panda eyes.

Nagi ask if he can still take the entrance exam but Hayate has no other choice whatsoever. Heading to the school via the internal train line, they met Yukiji who is ready to make him relax by faking the entrance exam of her own. Yukiji lead them to a classroom where the exam is about how to get a banana hanging from the roof with the tools in the room itself. Hayate is able to figure that out easily, seeing that the banana is hanging just low enough for Hayate to reach for it and get it. However, when he did get the banana, he notices hungry monkeys ready to pounce on him for that very banana. In the end, Yukiji finally tell them that this wasn't really the real exam at all. Instead of making him loosen up, Hayate took the exam physically and mentally beaten up. They legfr the school with Hayate feeling that he might get th chance to pass it even though he fear what will Nagi do to him if he really failed. But Nagi is very optimistic that he will certainly pass the exam. However, the result came and the Superintendent wants Yukiji to give the result to Hayate who have failed the exam by one point. The Superintendent says Hayate would have passed if he is much calmer then. Yukiji is ready to kill herself at this moment in time.

14 "Hey hey! I'm going to a Party. Hurry Up"
"Chotto Chotto! Pātī Ikana Akannen. Hayoshite, Honto" (ちょっとちょっと！パーティー行かなあかんねん。早よして、ホント)

While playing a racing game with Nagi. Hayate discuss with Nagi about a party for him to pass the entrance exam. Hayate feels that it is too earlier for that knowing that he might fail the exam in the end. However, he think that he should pass and say nothing about the party. Back at Katsura household, Yukiji return home to seek Hinagiku's help. Hinagiku find out that Hayate fail the exam and Yukiji might probably be the one that did that to him. Hinagiku tries to help her by phoning Maria and telling her about it. She took Yukiji personally to Nagi's mansion and tell Hayate all about that as well. However, Maria already knew about the party going on soon. She did not know what else to do about it seeing how happy they are about the party. Arriving at the mansion, Yukiji and Hina meet Maria who lead them to the party itself. Yukiji and Hina was astonished when she find out about this. Klaus arrives and told them that this party is for Hayate who passed the exam. Yukiji want to leave this place by now but notice Hayate and Nagi who are about to dance with each other. This get her even more scared seeing how happy they were. While dancing, Nagi said that she merely want the party to be participated by just the two of them. When Hayate praises that she look beautiful in her dress, she totally become embarrassed about that.

Yukiji is still determined to tell Hayate that he fail the exam but when she went face to face with him and all the attention focused on her, she cannot find herself saying that he fail the exam. Seeing Hina here, Nagi ask why. Hina took her away and tell her the truth. Nagi is totally stunned and did not know what to do. Finally, it is time for Hayate to say something for passing the exam. When he tries to thank everyone for coming here, the trio of the Hakuou Academy Student Council tell him that he has officially fail the exam. Yukiji tries to apologize but it's too late. Hayate become anguished and ran away from the party itself. Maria found him by the pond, saying how silly he is to think that he has passed the exam and how he let Nagi down. Maria tries to comfort him and present the boy with a card. Hayate look at it and find out that it is his student card. Maria explained that she talk to the Superintendent and manage to convince her to let him pass. Hayate is astonishingly happy about it and thanked Maria very much. Maria then realizes how close she is to Hayate when she tries to comfort him. It is just one small inch that they could have kissed each other. What a waste!!!

15 "Samurai, Chivalry, and Moving Van Damme"
"Samurai, Bushidō, Ugoku Van Damu" (サムライ、ブシドー、動くヴァンダム)

Ayumu wonder about Hayate again. He woke up in the morning ready to go to school with Nagi but that is a few days later. When he just came out of his room, he meet Hina who is there to congratulate him. She wasn't that happy at all since she has spent the night worry about where he went during the party after he knew that he fail the exam. She did tell him that they will meet at school soon. While greeting Nagi in the morning, Hayate wonder what about his school uniform. Nagi said he does not need one since there are other butlers like he is attending school as well and wear the same clothes as he is He then find out that Nagi jumped grades and is at the same year as he is. Hayate is left stunned and disbelief. The time came for Hayate and Nagi to go to school together. They talk about how people can jump grades in this school and the record of it goes to Maria who has been gone through three years as Student Council President. But if one didn't do well, they will be dropped a grade. But Nagi believed that Hayate wouldn't do that. Then they meet Himuro Saeki and his master, Taiga Ookouchi. He realizes that Hayate is a butler and from Sanzen'in, the one the rumors said. The rumors being that anyone will get Nagi's assets just by making her cry and say sorry. He then gracefully took away his necktie and warn him to be careful here for those who wear butler uniform to school. He eventually took his necktie away and understand the strength of a professional butler like Himuro is.

He return home to get a new necktie and Maria is kind enough to tie it up for him. And she warn that he better be careful not to lose it again. They return back to school swiftly and discover that Hayate came to Nagi's class as the transfer student with Yukiji as their homeroom teacher. Yukiji tries to make it easy for him to join in the class by overly praising him but that backfired nevertheless. Hayate walk in as soon as Yukiji call for him and Hayate, in order to reach the standards Yukiji set for him, he introduce himself to the class rather handsomely and cool and not letting Nagi down whatsoever. The class end up welcoming him greatly. After school, Hayate thank Nagi for letting him go to school again while Hina interrupted their lovely interaction. Hina then told Hayate that Nagi is actually from the Kendo Club, the same club as she is. Hayate is utterly stunned as Nagi explained that she has wanted to get rid of the hikkikomori lifestyle once and tries to join a club. But she end up not participating in its activities because of the protectors needed to be wore in the club. And she know she wouldn't be like her even if she join the same club as she is. Hayate then came to the Kendo Club and find out what is happening there. When he address Hina by her name, it made everyone there jealous especially one by the name of Koutarou Azumamiya. He challenges Hayate to a duel where Himuro appears again. He mention how powerful Hayate is and Koutarou definitely realizes it with Hayate being able to destroy cherry blossom petals by using his spiritual energy. Afraid, he call upon his combat butler, Kaede Nonohara to duel with Hayate. Everyone is utterly shocked.
