46. "His Name is Magic Ball Pitcher Wataru!!!"
"Yatsu no Na wa Makyū Tōshu Wataru!!!" (奴の名は魔球投手ワタル!!!)

Walking along the street, Wataru discovers something. Isumi is wearing a totally different school uniform. Wataru find her rather attractive at this moment in time but soon wonder why she is in this kind of costume. As she hop onto a bus, Wataru tries to follow but something halted him. In the end, the bus left without him. He went to discuss this with Nagi but she just give him a unacceptable answer. Wataru is seeing an illusion. Wataru will soon know whether his eyes are playing with him.

Wataru continue to ponder why Isumi would be in a totally different school uniform as he daydreams in the shop. Discovering this, Saki become concerned. She went to talk to Hayate, wondering if he knows. Both of them decide to investigate. They found out that Wataru is going somewhere. And it turn out to be Hayate's old school. Saki wonder why he is here. Hayate just tell her to go find out herself.

Saki did and approach Wataru, discovering that he is actually looking for Isumi. They attempt to sneak into the school and with the help from Ayumu, they did so. Ayumu even give them a tour of her school. Wataru and Saki find out that a ordinary high school can be rather interesting. Both Wataru and Saki both discover what Isumi is here for. She seems to be looking at a handsome baseball player, calling him senpai and wipe away the sweat off his forehead. Wataru is heartbroken when he sees this. He truly believe that Isumi is here because she likes that baseball player. He simply cannot believe this.

Hayate, worried about the two, decide to sneak into the school nevertheless. He soon met Ayumu who thought that he is here to see her. She is to be disappointed.

Later, we find out why Isumi is actually here. It is due to the fact that a wandering female student ghost simply wants to fulfill her last wish before crossing over to the light. Isumi decide to help her with that, lending her body to the ghost. The female ghost possess her and is on her way to fulfill her last wish. But Wataru who has been encoruaged by Saki not to give up on Saki, came back and challenged the baseball player to a duel with victory owning Isumi. The baseball player accept the challenge since Wataru look serious about this. But in the end, Wataru lost. However, the female ghost get to wipe the victor's sweat and ascend to the heavens as well. When that is over, Wataru soon realize what happened and think of himself as a fool. Saki is there to prove that he is not. As a matter of fact, Saki is proud of Wataru. The boy definitely felt happy about this.

47. "Sure, Amuro had a place to return to, but..."
"Sorya Amuro ni wa Kaereru Basho ga Atta Deshō Kedo..." (そりゃ安室には帰れる場所があったでしょうけど…)

Nagi began to worry about Hayate not being able to advance to the next grade. Thus, she ask Hayate to take a break off from work and concentrate on his studies. Hayate at first refuse this but after Nagi insisted that he do that with the intention of firing him if he did not pass the next exam with flying colors, Hayate had to do as he is told. And he will have Sakuya's assistance along the way.

Without a butler by herself now, Klaus waste no time finding Nagi a new butler. As Hayate went to check on Nagi out of his concern, he discover that it is a mechanical robot that resembles him: Mecha Butler 13.

Ayumu is seen greeting a talking vending machine. Ayumu find her action very bizarre.

Mecha Butler 13 is very good in his job. He encourages Nagi in her manga work and even provides suggestions for her to improve on what she has done. He definitely knows what Nagi wants way before she can ever ask him and even win Maria over with his consideration.

Eventually, a relieved Hayate who think that Nagi is in good hands, came to check on her again, only to discover that she is really in good hands. He has the feeling that Mecha Butler 13 is about to take his job.

Meanwhile, Mecha Butler 13 is quite interested in human emotions. He tries to figure that out as much as he can, even trying to fool around with Hayate and make Nagi angry towards Hayate. Next, he even get Sakuya out of the picture, creating more jealousy from Nagi towards Hayate. Thinking that it is a good idea to leave now, Sakuya did and Mecha Butler 13 proceed to carry out his last plan which is to make Nagi leave Hayate for good. And he did that brilliantly. All for the reason to figure out whether Nagi will choose him to become his butler instead of Hayate due to his capabiliites as one.

But due to Nagi's love towards Hayate and her trust in him, Nagi still choose Hayate. Mecha Butler 13 continues to ponder why this would have occured and why human emotions is so important.

He recall the time when he is still being constructed by Shiori and find out that she is trying to prevent Eight from destroying him. When Shiori manage to do so, Mecha Butler 13 ask her why Eight would do such a thing. Shiori just replied that Eight love her so much that it turns into jealousy which he cannot comprehend since it is never added into its emotional databank.

But now he understand a little about this human emotion and decide that he will simply walk away from being Nagi's butler knowing it will be in the way of Nagi's pursuit of happiness.

Just then, he realizes that a meteor is about to collide onto the earth where Nagi's mansion is located. Deciding to save them, Mecha Butler 13 would sacifiace himself and destroy the meteor at the same time. Nagi did not want him to do that at first. But for her sake, he will.

In the end, the meteor is desroyed and we last saw Mecha Butler 13 on the moon, resting peacefully.

48. "Hina♥Love"
"Hina ♥ Rabu" (ヒナ♥ラブ)

Hinagiku's birthday is coming. And her mother would have hoped that she will spend it with her boyfriend even though Hinagiku didn't have one. The mother express her desire to hope to see one day Hinagiku possessing one in the near future. At her room, Hinagiku thought about this and can only think of one fellow she is interested in: Hayate Ayasaki.

In school, Hinagiku tries to avoid Hayate as much as she can. But she cannot ignore a love letter apparently sent by Hayate. At the same time, Hayate receive one love letter from Hinagiku as well. Hayate become concerned about this and wonder if it is really from Hinagiku. He is about to find out soon.

Arriving at the kendo dojo, he discover Hinagiku waiting for him near the blooming cherry blossom tree. When they met, both of them ask if they sent the love letters to each other. As it turn out, no one did except for these guys. It seems tha Koutarou is the person who wrote the love letter to Hayate and Hinagiku for the purpose of challenging Hayate and making Hinagiku watch it. As it seems Koutarou has prepared himself for this challenge. Himuro wants to watch this match unfolding as well, convincing Hayate to just do it. Hayate is left with no other choice but to do so.

Surprisingly, Koutarou tries to beat Hayate in his game but even that cannot stop our invincible combat butler. Koutarou tasted defeat once more. In the midst of all these, no one discover that Hinagiku has already left the scene. She is fuming that the love letter isn't really from Hayate and wonder why she would want that to happen. As she made her way home, Ayumu suddenly appear eating strawberries?

While still fuming about what happened, Hinagiku decide to go for a drink. But she did not expect to meet Hayate on the streets. The man immediately apologized to Hinagiku, asking for her forgiveness even though he is not sure what he has done. Seeing how sincere he is, Hinagiku agreed to accept his apology. They went for a drink together which become a date.

Even though it is so, Hayate still cannot help but enrage Hinagiku again, saying that he did not realize she has a girlish side until now. To seek forgiveness from her again, Hayate tried to get the doll she wanted and then chase after Hinagiku. She went to a park to calm her down now, wasting no time to discover a cat trapped on a tree. She decide to help it, climbing the tree in hopes to get the cat. But she end up falling from the tree only to be caught by Hayate in the nick of time. Hayate did not forget to present her with the doll as well. All combined, Hinagiku has no other choice but to forgive him again.

They parted ways with Hinagiku being the most happiest party of them all while Hayate sigh at the fact that there is no money in his wallet anymore. Back at the mansion, it is only then he realizes that Hinagiku's birthday is coming. Nagi discover that Hayate actually give Hinagiku something today and isn't quite delightful about this.

At Hinagiku's room, she held the doll given to her by Hayate as tightly as she can and thank Hayate for toda. We went back to see how the match between Koutarou and Taiga, his next challenger has become. Apparently, Koutarous is still a loser and a sore one.

49. "Normal Talk"
"Futsū no Hanashi" (普通の話)

Hayate tries to help out in Nagi's hikikomori problem once more. As Hayate wonder how he should tackle this problem and have Nagi come to school more often, they met the Student Council Trio before they leave school. Apparently, the trio has something for Hayate to do.

They lead them to a building that seems to have belonged to the Motion Picture Research Club. Apparently, they are members of this club and would like Hayate and Nagi to become one as well. They show them the films they have made and collected for their entertainment needs. It turn out to be short cuts of Hayate cross dressing and several other embarrassing videos of Hayate with the other girls. Nagi can't help but be angry to see that. Hayate waste no time disposing them and ask how they manage to do that. They simply explained that they have planted cameras all around.

Just as Hayate and Nagi are about to leave, the trio stopped them and plead to them to join. Their reason is because of Kirika who is touring about the school intending to shut down clubs that she does not like. She has already killed a few clubs such as the tennis and baseball clubs and the Motion Picture Research Club looks to be next. They hope that Hayate would be their savior that help them overcome this crisis since Kirika show interest in him.

They were intending to show the videos that Hayate destroyed just now to Kirika to get themselves out of this predicament but now, they couldn't. Before Hayate can even answer, Kirika came marching in with Shion. After knowing that the vidoes are destroyed, she demanded the club to close down.

The Student Council Trio attempt to save their club by promising to make a Staff Credit NG Collection for Kirika to see. Hayate is made to be the sacrifice for this. But he will not mind jumping off the clock tower for the sake of Nagi joining this club.

Back at the mansion, Maria is surprised to find videos during her high school days with Shiori. She waste no time putting them away to a safe place unhesitatingly.

Having surviving the club destruction movement, the Motion Picture Research Club proceed to carry out a Normal Story Competition. Many entered, telling their normal stories to them. Since Nagi has decided to join the club, Hayate will have to play around with this. He is one of those who tell a normal story besides Klaus, Saki, Wataru who turn out to be the president of this club and many others. This is how the day ends worthlessly.

Ayumu is seen nearing the river looking at a giant peach and chasing it on a bicycle?

That's not it. The Student Council Trio is seen again trying to find out how Yukiji might have looked when she is sleeping. But it turn out to be the Student Council Trio saying last goodbye to the audience of this anime since this might be the last time they ever show up in the anime. Yukiji does not seem to like this at all.

Backtracking, Hayate manage to jump off the building and landed on the ground safely but still ends up being ran down by a truck and sent flying into the horizon.

50. "Quiz! Written as "Foe" but Read as "Friend"!!"
"Kuizu! Shukuteki to Kaite Tomo to Yomu!!" (クイズ！宿敵と書いて友と読む!!)

Nagi wake up to find out a competition that will earn her her trophy and a all you can eat coupon at a restaurant. The competition is called 'High School Girls Ultra Quiz' and requires someone else to form a team of two. Nagi has to hesitate for a moment before saying that she will join. Unfortunately, no one wants to be her partner. She even think of making Hayate cross dress but that only make the man leave the mansion in search of a partner for Nagi.

He seems really lucky today since he found one in Ayumu. At the same time Ayumu is interested in the competition and more on the all you can eat coupon. She end up bumping onto Hayate and let him find out about this.

The stage is set for both Ayumu and Nagi to join the competition like this. Surprisingly, the host of the competition are Terou Mikiri which is the narrator of this anime and Abe Maou, the sexy devil from the first few episodes.

Initially, Nagi and Ayumu did not like to form a team with each other. But for the sake of winning the competition, they will have to. The competition starts with yes/no questions with the contestants needing to go to the yes/no corners to answer. The first question is answered by Nagi who has a conflict with Ayumu. But she end up getting the correct answer and saving the team. The next would be Ayumu's turn to answer correctly with Nagi relieved that Ayumu is able to get her over to her side. The third question happens to be difficult and requires outside interference.

Ayumu and Nagi get to call Maria and disappoint Hayate who thought that they will be calling him. Maria gives the correct answer and save everyone.

Next, they have to find a question from many envelopes on the ground and answer it. Since Nagi has a cramping leg, Ayumu has to do it alone. She made several attempts but discover that all the envelopes she has picked up did not have questions in them. In the end, Nagi recovered and both of them manage to find a question in the envelope and answer it correctly. They advance to the next round which ask them to leave a enclosed room within a time limit. Ayumu tries to go for it, using many ways and eventually throwing a chair out of the window and escape from there. But she soon discover that this is impossible since they are inside a room of a skyscaper.

Unforunately, Nagi is clever enough to figure out all the secret methods of opening the door of the room and eventually did it for the team. They even ask a question correctly after this.

The last round features them and two other teams. Hinagiku and Miki is in one while the other consist of Chiharu and Aika. They are at a platform which one side will rise if they failed to answer the questions that is to be prompted to them. They will have to snatch for that chance. Since the platform is already at a height, that made Hinagiku very nervous. That will motivate her to answer the questions correctly and getting the chance to do so with ease. As a matter of fact, the round started with her snatching the chance and answering the question correctly. She did not stop from there, answering all the questions correctly and eventually eliminating Aika and Chiharu. With Ayumu and Nagi struggling to stay afloat, they have only this motivation in their minds. That is to win the competition for Hayate. Even if Nagi has fallen, Ayumu was able to catch her in time. Using her legs to snatch the chance, the two of them made an offensive, getting Hinagiku and Miki higher up towards the sky.

Both Ayumu and Nagi were able to do this for a period of time and that is all they need to make Hinagiku dizzy due to the height and fall from the platform. Miki followed soon after. Nagi and Ayumu were announced winners of this competition.

As Ayumu predicted, all Nagi wants from the competition is the trophy that look like Hayate. She did receive the coupon and wonder if she would eat it with her family or with Hayate. But in the end, she decided that it is still too early for her and Hayate and suggest that all three of them including Nagi should go and celebrate their victory using this.

51. "Spring"
"Haru" (春)

Hayate faces a delimma. He has the chance to pay back all the debts he has towards Nagi at one time. Will he take it and regain his own freedom, leaving Nagi as well?

It begins with the closing ceremony of this school semester of Hakuou Academy. It has been known that Hayate barely pass his exams and promoted to the next grade. Nagi did not wait for the closing ceremony to be over before heading home with Hayate chasing after her. It seems that Nagi has something planned for Hayate.

Once home, Nagi told Hayate to help her get something outside and strictly demanded that he return in the evening. In an attempt to do that, she even hurt his feelings by saying that she did not wish to see his face right now. All because she has prepared something for Hayate.

While on the streets, Hayate ponder what he has done to make Nagi angry again. At the same time, Hinagiku wonder why she did not see Hayate today. She is hoping to get the chance to congratulate him for promoting to the next grade. Little did she know that Hayate is just around the corner, already picked up the present for Nagi. But before he can return back to the mansion, he is kidnapped. He end up at a high rise building, facing a man who seems to be some CEO of a company. As it turns out, he is the General Manager of the Victoria Elizabeth Steward Dispatch Company, Japanese Branch.

The man then said that he knows Hayate from videos captured and placed on the internet by the Student Council Trio. He wants to headhunt Hayate, giving him a sum of money equivalent to his debt to be paid to Nagi so that he no longer become her butler. Hayate is given time to think about it.

Meanwhile, Sakuya, Wataru and Isumi seems to be helping with the preparation for the celebration on Hayate promoting to the next grade. Wataru and Isumi have some inimate scenes perhaps due to Sakuya while Nagi is hard at work somewhere.

Hayate did give some thoughts about the offer but he had to put that aside when he carelessly drop the present onto a moving truck. His chase began.

Nagi attempt to prepare some food for Hayate and it seems to be going on smoothly with the assistance from Isumi and Maria. Wataru wonder why he did not get to have a celebration quite like this even though he too has promoted to the next grade as well. Since Sakuya is here, he took this chance to thank her to allow him to skip grade and be with Isumi. Sakuya is kind of embarrassed by this.

Hayate continues on his chase for the present. Meeting Ayumu on the way, he took her bicycle to try to get closer to the truck. But when he did, the present fell off and somehow landed on Saki's basket of goceries. Saki has no idea that happen and when she fall, the present roll towards the approaching Student Council Trio who wishes to give back the present to Hayate. But Risa overly threw the present and it land in the mouth of some birds. Hayate's chase continues but he is able to return the bicycle back to Ayumu at the same time.

Somehow, Hayate does not seem to be able to chase after the birds. More surprisingly, he find himself crashing through a table that were being used by Hinagiku, Chiharu and Aika right now. Hinagiku attempt to congratulate Hayate but the man just apologized and run away. Hinagiku does not like that attitude of his at all.

The flock of birds is seen flying over the seas at this moment in time with Hayate showing no hesitation continuing the chase even though he might have to swim after them. On a liner, Himuro find the present landed on his hands just as Hayate reach the liner. Hayate plead Himuro to give it to him. He would but first he will ask how Hayate is going to get back since this liner is heading towards Brazil. Hayate is speechless.

Nevertheless, Hayate did made it back to the mansion, only to allow the present to be taken by Tama. He chase after the white tiger to discover that everyone is waiting for his return. He soon realizes that there is a celebration for him being promoted to the next grade. Nagi came towards him and present the gift that Hayate took his best to receover, finding it hard to believe that it is actually for him.

He open it and find out that it is a pocket watch. He did not wish to take this but Nagi insisted that he do, telling him that he is more than a butler to her. Hayate return her gift with a hug.

Back at the high rise building where the Steward Dispatch Company is located, it is known that this is one of Mikado's tests for Hayate. Apparently, Hayate pass this examination too. Hayate will live another day with Nagi due to this.

52. Radical Dreamers

Everybody has went on vacation excerpt for Wataru and Saki as well as Sakuya and Isumi. Wataru's rental video store is still opened while Sakuya went to visit Isumi. On the other hand, Yukiji is at the POD room doing her stuff. Klaus and Tama watch the mansion.

Hayate, Maria and Nagi went to Mykonos Island, Greece for their vacation. But Nagi, as always, refuse to go out and see the sights and sounds. Hayate has to persuade her and even cause Nagi to feel bad that she did not take Hayate out to finally drag Nagi out of her room accompanied by potato chips and an LCD TV.

Hinagiku and Ayumu went to Cappadocia, Turkey to see the sights there. But due to the fact that they have to climb a hill, Hinagiku, since she is afriad of heights, did not hope to stand on her two feet and watch the stone homes where people used to live. To make things worse, a camel keep spitting on her. Ayumu can only wonder how Hinagiku manage to sit on the plane here. She did with her utmost determination to fight her fear of heights.

When night fall, they return to the hotel room to meet up with the Student Council Trio, playing a game of cards at this moment in time. They mention that they will be going to Athens, Greece tomorrow and mention Hayate's name since they might possibly meet him there. Both Ayumu and Hinagiku become somewhat interested with that. However, they never meet Hayate there. Instead, Hinagiku has to go through the process of fighting her fear of heights, refusing to go over the edge and keep looking at the interiors of the Parthenon. Ayumu tries to get Hinagiku to accompany her since this is the first trip she has ever go with Hinagiku and she knows to become closer friends with her via this trip. Hinagiku then remember the last time they met with her admitting to Ayumu that she likes Hayate. Since they are on this trip together for that kind of purpose, Hinagiku eventually give in to Ayumu and join her.

While out on the Mykonos Island, Hayate find out that they have been to this place before. But as always, Nagi keep herself cooped up inside her room. Hayate does not think it is a good idea and that made Nagi remember that there is someone a long time ago who said the exact thing to you. She could not remember his face though. Just then, wind blew away the hat she is wearing but Hayate is there to go fetch it. Surprisingly, when he did catch the hat, he suddenly disappear at the view of the sun. Nagi is stunned.

Hayate did not realize anything at first. But when he landed on the ground, he discover that there is someone nearby but it is not Nagi. There is a young girl and she claim to be Nagi herself. She did not know Hayate as well. It suddenly dawn to Hayate that he might have went back in time but when he tries to find out from a local what date today is, they cannot communicate due to the language barrier.

But since the smaller Nagi look and act like Nagi, Hayate did not take long to accept this fact. He discover that this will be a good way to cure her indoor lifestyle. However, it did not take long for Hayate to know that Nagi is being chased by Mafia who intend to kidnap her. Hayate has no other choice but to defend her from the Mafia. At one point during the escape, Nagi tell Hayate that this is the reason why she hates going outdoors. Hayate is determined to show her that it isn't that bad at all. He suggest that they go stargrazing later. Nagi agreed.

And so, Hayate manage to defeat the Mafia with all his might just in time for the sun to set. But as wind blow away Nagi's hat that has been filled with bullet holes, Hayate went to retrieve it but soon discover that he is back to his time again. He saw Nagi appraoching her from the sand with her asking where he has been. He ask why she is on the beach and Nagi replied that she is just writing something to the idiot that break his promise to stargraze with her. Hayate decide that he shall take the place of the idiot instead.
